The two of you arrive at the door to the English classroom, take a second to compose yourselves, and then enter.

Mrs. Fletcher, thankfully, simply looks to the clock on the wall, and nods. "You may find a place to sit and work on your project, Michael and Sarah."

"Thank you, Mrs. Flecther," the two of you say in unison.

Sarah points to two free desks. "Um, I think this will work better if we sit next to each other and pull the desks together," she says. You nod.

After you sit down, Sarah looks to you. "I have to be very careful of what I say. My project requires you to... discover some things, in the theme of Alice and Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. It relies a lot on you to... be curious." She says this thick with meaning. "And I'm meant to... be like Alice," she says. "I can't say much more."

You nod. You have no idea what you wrote in the Rulebook, but you're starting to get a feel for this situation. She is very still, looking at you intently.
