"I've got an idea how you can thank me," you say. You feel your silenced phone vibrate in your pocket. "Tell you in a minute, go take care of business."

Tara, Jennifer, Kath, and Luna disappear into the men's room stalls. You hear fabric sliding over skin and the dull snap of elasticized nylon, followed by a chorus of four tinkling streams of Mexican beer finding its way back to the sea.

Your chest still throbs a bit from Karen's front kick. What a day. What a DAY. You check your phone. It's a text from Mona.

"Score one Persian babe! Taking her home. You go Joe."

The stalls open as the girls finish their business. Kath, Tara, Jennifer, and finally Luna join you and wash their hands at the sinks.

"Thanks Joe!" Luna says.

Jennifer sighs with relief. "Back to the movie," she says.

"So what was your idea?" Kath asks.

"I just got a text from Mona. She's gonna take Fairouzeh with her. How about you take me with you after the movie?"

Tara turns on her phone. She has a message from Fairouzeh. "Yeah, looks like Fairouzeh's going with your friend," she tells you.
