Team Brian First checkpoint

"So, are you enjoying spending the week out here with your boyfriend?" Erik asked.

"Yes, I guess," Makayla responded. She was uncomfortable talking about her personal life, especially to him. But she oddly found it preferable to having to deal with Gaby.

"Are you sure this is the spot? The next direction has us running right into that thicket," Gaby proclaimed.

"Yeah, I'm sure... pretty sure..." Brian responded.

The truth was Brian was a mess. Bianca's kiss had left him completely confused. He'd never really thought about dating her. Okay, he'd certainly fantasized about her, but she had always presented herself as out of his league and not interested. He almost laughed at the thought, Bianca was literally the only woman he had ever considered out of his league. But maybe she didn't see it that way? Maybe she was just focused on her school and career. His mind drifted to Kat. Everything had been off between them this week.. She was going to be here soon and he hoped they could clear things up. But he also wondered if Bianca...

Brian looked over at Erik and Makayla and frowned. He'd seen the game played too many times. While he and Alex had their past issues, he liked the guy, and he didn't like the attention Erik was giving his girlfriend.

"What a crazy breakfast huh?" Erik asked.

Makayla looked at him confused, then it registered with her.

"Oh, stupid wagers."

"It's just... never mind," Erik added.

"What?" she asked.

Erik had been annoyed seeing Sayen being so friendly with another guy. He'd seen Makayla as maybe someone to have some fun with, but now it was personal to him. He wanted to drive a wedge between her and Alex.

"It's just, I mean Alex is a good guy, loyal and faithful..." Erik replied.

Makayla looked at him worried.

"No, don't think anything like that. It's just that I dated her, and Sayen is more like Gaby than.... you. That's all I'm saying. Don't assume anything, I know your guy is a good guy."

"Yes he is," Makayla responded but inside she worried. The night before had been so amazing. But still, she was scared he would grow bored with her. Gaby had always worried her, she was so sexual and she was worried Alex liked her. But Sayen, Sayen was beautiful and sweet. Would Alex actually be more into her?

"I'm just saying, you and your guy are good. But be careful, because other women around here are not," Erik said with a fake reluctance.

Makayla had no reply. She just looked at him then walked toward Gaby and Brian.
