How do you answer that?
Tanya is desperate. You feel guilty.
You look at the desperate waif with a sad smile and shake your head.
"I wasn't playing you Tanya. I really don't have a place for you to sleep. I live up at Pink Rose, not here in town. I've just got an office and a bedroom."
"But...really..." she asks with a forlorn sigh. "I could...could sleep on your floor...and...and I'd still blow you...I keep my promises. Please...please Kyle.."
"It's not a good idea Tanya. We could both get in trouble. And you don't have to offer me sex. That's not necessary. If I had a place you could stay, no strings attached."
She stares at you, as if unwilling to believe what she's hearing. She bites her lip and for a moment you think she's going to cry, but she wipes the back of her hand across her eyes and firms her chin.
"I could sleep on your floor. Just one night. I promise, just one night. I'd be no trouble, really I wouldn't. I haven't slept indoors for months. Please Kyle. Just one night? And you can take...take anything you want...anything at all as payment."
You're beginning to regret your generosity, realising that giving her money has only made her see you as a saviour. You're not, and have no wish to be, but you feel suddenly responsible for her. That being said, you really don't want her sleeping in your office, and having to deal with the potential fallout if she was discovered there.
Diana Naylor would flip out if she saw this young street urchin in your room, staying overnight. She'd certainly jump to conclusions, and at the least might fire you. At worst, she'd shut off any chance of every having sex with her again. You'd rather lose the job than lose the chance of developing your relationship with her.
But Tanya looks so forlorn and helpless you have to do something besides walk away. The question is what?
