Talking with Mom

Getting up out of his bed, Ash took a deep breath. A million different thoughts surged about his head. Would his mother be willing to listen to his idea. If so, would she be willing to take such a leap in the first place?

If not, what was his plan B? Would he just need to go with someone else entirely? Then what? How far would he need to go to get his own mother on board?

Yet, the trainer took a deep breath and exited his room. Heading down the hall, he stopped in front of the door to his mother's room.

"Mom?" he called out, watching his mother head on over. Dressed in her usual outfit, Ash was already imagining how he would look in it.

"Yes, dear?"

Taking a deep breath, the trainer gathered his thoughts. He only had one real shot at telling her this. If he blew this now, there was no way his mother would listen.

"Mom... I want to be just like you."
