Chapter 45 by SingingLark SingingLark

You don't really know anything about her, so how are you going to approach her?

Talking to her.

"Kids are amazing, aren't they?" you see a redhead chase after a smaller boy, swinging a wooden stick. They are laughing merrily. "It is an amazing age" she says in a forlorn tone that pierces your heart. You only recognizes the sadness in her eyes once you are up close, and says. "I am sorry. I didn't recognize you had lost yours"

"Narvi and Váli. Beautiful as falling stars, and just as brief". You tell her how sorry you are again, and she nods absent minded. The children continue to play, and eventually you say. "I am Lucius."

"The mortal that follows our Valkyrie. Your name is known to me." there was a silence. "I am Sigyn."

"The Goddess of fidelity. Right?"you try to make it light, but you appears to hit another sore spot.

"That moniker I can no longer claim. For centuries I stood by Loki's side, but after our Rebirth... and when Loki came back in feminine body... i disavowed her when she sought me out, the horror too great for me to endure." she turns from you, ashamed. You wonder how badly she wanted to talk, if she just begins to sprout out these things to a virtual stranger, but you image being Loki's wife could strangle her from the other Asgardians. You put a hand on her shoulder and embrace her, letting her cry. "Not every woman is a lesbian... or bisexual. You can't **** it, one way or another. You can just be who you are."

"We have been together for so long. It wasn't easy learning to love him. His anger, his bitterness. I treasured each good memory he gave me, and forgave everything else." she cried every so often, and you forget about your mission. She needed a friend more than anything.

"Life goes on. You were given a great gift, why don't you start anew?" You offer when her tears began to dry. But she had even worst news. "I tried. I sought out Theodric... the young man I was too marry before Loki tricked me... but I am so stupid. Each time I brought up our past, the good times we shared in our youth, each time I was talking about Loki. Theodric cared about his battles far more than he cared about me, and it was only when Loki took his place that I truly fell in love with him." She leans her head against your shoulder. "Poor Loki. I wonder if he ever knew how happy I was at his side"

This seduction appears to be going very poorly... how can you turn things around?
