Talking to Luciana

You had dinner at your place that night, with your mom treating you to a fancy dinner that she worked on with Dawn. Just in time to join in, Rebecca arrived just as you were about to eat. Of course, your mom had been cooking with her in mind, so there was enough for everyone.

"Huh? Mom, what's all this?" your big sister asked.

"We have a little celebration today" Dawn said with a big grin. Her eyes fell on you and Carmen who were sitting side by side.

"Hey Carmen, hey li'l' bro, what's up?" she asked.

Carmen grinned at your big sister and showed her the ring on her finger.

"Oh, my God" Rebecca said. "Is that what I think it is?"

"I don't know" you said with a grin of your own, "you tell me."

"Is that an engagement ring?" your big sister asked.

"You got it in one" Carmen said , smiling at you.

"Oh, wow! Congratulations, you two!" she said. You got up and received her hugs, just like Carmen did. Just then your mother arrived with a roast in her hands so you got seated again and soon after started eating.

After dinner you were sitting by the fireplace together. It was October and gettin colder, after all. Rebecca was out on a date with her girlfriend while Dawn was studying in her room. Your mom was reading a book at the kitchen table, so that left the two of you pretty much alone.

"Everybody's so happy for us" you said with a smile.

"I know" Carmen replied, "except for Luci."

"You think so?" you asked.

"I know so. I mean, she's my baby sister. I can tell what she's thinking. She's jealous, baby. She started coughing when you asked me to marry you. That really wasn't her **** on her drink. I wouldn't be surprised if she was planning something" your fiancé told you.

"So what do we do about it?" you asked.

"Should we do anything about it?" Carmen replied.

"I dunno. You know her better than I do" you told her.

"It..might be a good idea" Carmen conceded.

"So what do we do?" you asked again.

"We should probably sit down with her and have a talk. Just come out and say it, you know?" Carmen suggested.

"Yeah, that sounds like it might work. I hope" you said.

"Pff, like you would hate it if you got to take that cherry" Carmen teased.

"I plead innocence, your honour" you said.

"The diplomatic answer. But come on, you know how open my family is about sexuality. If you had met her before you met me, would you have had sex with her?" she asked.

"I dunno, she's a bit young" you told her. "I prefer women that don't need a lot of instruction, even if it's more romantic to be a girl's first." At this, Carmen made a face.

"With the size of your cock, anybody might as well be a virgin" she said.

"Hey, you did pretty well" you pointed out.

"That's because I'm in love with you" she replied. Snorting, you made a face of your own.

"As if that changes anything" you told her.

"More than you know" Carmen replied with a giggle.

"So when do we talk to her?" you asked.

"Might as well do it now" Carmen suggested.

You'd said goodnight to your sisters and mother before going over to the Dodsons' home. By that time you had already spent the night quite a few times, so it wasn't out of the ordinary for you two to show up together later at night.

"Hey, Luci? Can we talk?" Carmen asked as the two of you saw her sitting at the kitchen table, tapping away at her phone.

"Uh..yeah?" Luciana replied, obviously not happy about the fact that she had nowhere to go.

You and Carmen sat down across from Luci, whose eyes flitted back and forth from you to her sister and back again.

"Luci, we need to talk about this. Whatever it is that's going on" she said.

"What?" Luci asked.

"This thing that you have for John" Carmen told her sister. "We both saw how you were dressed at Nicole's wedding. That in and of itself could just you trying to be sexy. But I've seen you looking at him. Do you want him for yourself?" she asked.

"...Yes" Luci admitted, obviously seeing no recourse but to tell the truth.

"Why?" Carmen wanted to know.

"Because I'm jealous!" Luciana exclaimed. "You always have all the luck! You have the best grades, the nicest friends, you are well-liked, you are way more attractive than I am, and now you have a gorgeous boyfriend! Wait, a fiancée now. How can I NOT be jealous?"

Carmen reached out and took her sister's hand. "Luci, please. You are gorgeous yourself. Right, John?" she asked.

"Hey, don't get me involved" you said.

"John, please" Carmen whispered, "she's obviously feeling insecure."

"What happened to getting her off my back?" you replied.

"This is more important" Carmen told you. "You could do some light flirting."

"And then what? She thinks I'm up for it then shit goes wrong and I'm down a fiancé" you said, getting a little angry.

"I promise to make it up to you" Carmen said, "please? For me? And your sister-in-law?"

"Alright..." you whispered. "Luci, you are very pretty" you said in a normal voice.

"You mean it?" she asked, suddenly very quiet.

"You are pretty. How can you not be? Your big sister is gorgeous, so is your mom. Yeah, I said it. So of course you are going to be pretty too" you told Luciana.

"You promise?" she asked. You were suddenly aware of the fact that she was so very insecure about being in Carmen's shadow that she needed a lot more positive reinforcement than she got.

"I do" you said with a smile, putting your hand on top of Carmen and Luci's.

"Thank you" she whispered, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. "I love you two, you know" she said as she got up and hugged the both of you.

"That went well" you said after Luciana had left to go to her room.

"It did. Thank you for having my back" Carmen said. "That deserves a little something something."

"I would have done it pro bono" you replied, "but boning works too."

"Oh my God, that is so fucking corny. You're so lucky I already said yes to your marriage proposal" Carmen said with a laugh as she sat down in your lap.
