Chapter 5

What's next?

Talking and plotting

Lisa entered the locker room and immediately heard and saw her wife sobbing on one of the benches. Seeing Taylor like this not only broke her heart, but also lit a fire in her belly about that woman in the pool.

"Lory?" Lisa asked softly as she sat down next to Taylor, wrapping her wife into a hug. "Lory, what's wrong? What did that witch do to you?"

"I... I..." Taylor whimpered, leaning her head against Lisa's shoulder as she explained. "I was only trying to be a good neighbor to her, like we were with the other denizens of the apartment complex. And then she told me to try to reason with you to apologize to her."

"What part of the fact that she bumped into me does that little worm not understand?!" Lisa groaned, using her free hand to pinch the bridge of her nose.

"That's exactly what I told her!" Taylor said in exasperation, wiping a tear from her eye. "Well, not those exact words, but close. And then," Taylor closed her eyes as she took a deep breath, "then she told me that she wasn't surprised that a brainless gorilla was being defended by... By a..." She bit her quivering lip before finally saying, "A tub of lard."

"She didn't..." Lisa said with a gasp, shock and anger in her voice. She knew that there was one thing her wife was self-conscious about, and that was Taylor's weight.

"She did." Taylor replied with a whimper, tears starting to fill her eyes again. "And then she told me that she was originally going to call me a "bloated walrus carcass", but thought that it was too mean to... To the walrus. Then she asked me how much I weighed because she thought that..." She choked out a sob, "that I would have begged you to switch swimsuits with a body like mine, and that the only thing small on my body were my two "tennis balls", as she put it."

Lisa continued to listen to her wife's story in silence, her blood getting so hot that it would have evaporated lava.

"And then..." Taylor squeaked as she felt the stinging tears run down her face, her breath shaky as she tried to remain composed. "When I told her that I was two hundred forty-five, she... She asked if I sure that you didn't love me b-because you could bench press me and get a workout whenever we m-m-made love."

Taylor broke down again, sobbing uncontrollably into Lisa's shoulder. After a minute, her crying slowed down as she felt Lisa starting to shake, her wife's breathing becoming more shallow and rapid. Looking up, Taylor saw Lisa staring intently at one of the walls with what looked like **** in her eyes, her lips curled into a snarl.

"I'm going to kill her." Lisa muttered softly, almost too low for Taylor to hear.

"Elisabeth...?"

"I'm going to kill her!" Lisa screamed, letting go of her wife as she rapidly got to her feet. "Nobody talks to my wife that way! NOBODY!"

"Elisabeth Marie Fisher!" Taylor snapped, getting to her feet. "I appreciate you for trying to protect me, but this is not something worthy of you getting arrested for ****! Or worse, killed from your blood pressure going through the roof!"

Taylor breathed heavily as she looked into her wife's eyes, Lisa flinching a bit in a mixture of surprise and fear. Taylor was quite explosive when she wanted to be. After a few seconds, Taylor calmed down a bit as she sat back down on the bench.

"I'm sorry..." Taylor apologized softly, feeling her wife sit down next to her again. She turned to Lisa and asked, "You know that I don't believe that that's the reason you love me, right?"

"Of course I know." Lisa replied. "I love you because you're smart, fun, kind, sensitive, loving, caring, big hearted, friendly, you have a great laugh, and you're simply drop dead gorgeous!" She then gave a sly smile and added, "And on the subject of us making love," she gave her wife a wink, "you are a complete animal. That's the reason you're always on top."

Taylor giggled a bit, a slight blush on her face.

"There's that smile I love so much." Lisa said with a smile of her own, hugging her wife again. After a few seconds, she let out a sigh as she glared at the locker room door. "I just wish there was some way that I can get back at her for the awful things that she said to and about you."

Taylor hugged her wife tightly. Suddenly, her eyes widened, an idea forming in her head. "Maybe," she said with a smile, getting Lisa's attention, "there is a way that you can."

"Hmm?" Lisa asked, tilting her head in confusion as her wife leaned in close, smiling evilly as Taylor brought her lips to Lisa's ear.

--

Lauren climbed out of the pool and walked over to her deck chair, deciding that she had had enough swimming for today. Just as Lauren began to dry herself off with the towel, she looked up to see both Lisa and Taylor walking towards her.

"Can I help you two?" Lauren asked haughtily as she wrapped the towel around herself.

"Hey, look," Lisa began as scratched the back of her head, "we've been thinking and, well, neither of us were actually watching where we were going. So, I just wanted to apologize for bumping into you like that."

Lauren looked quizzically at the taller, muscular woman in front of her. First she demanded Lauren to apologize for something that was her fault, and now she was taking responsibility for her actions? Nonetheless, Lauren shrugged as she nodded her head.

"I am glad that you see the error of your ways, Mrs. Lisa." Lauren said with a smug smile. "I guess you're not as dumb as I first thought."

"Thanks." Lisa said, forcing a smile as she felt her teeth grind together. "Remember the plan, Lisa. Remember the plan." she told herself in her mind, "This little worm will get what's coming to her soon enough."

"Anyway," Taylor interrupted as she turned to Lauren, "Lisa and I were just on our way for a special day out that I had planned, and we would feel honored if you accompanied us, Lauren. My treat."

Lauren was a bit skeptical at this. Two strangers, both of whom had ruined her day and were people she had insulted, were inviting her to join them on some girl's day out. On the other hand, it seemed like they now knew that Lauren was the ice queen here. Plus, it was free; who would be crazy enough to say no to that?!

"Well, I guess I can accompany you and your wife." Lauren said nonchalantly, "Where are we going, anyway?"

"Oh, we were just going to check out that new mall that opened up." Taylor responded, "Buy some new clothes, get some appliances, maybe try out that sauna and spa we heard so much about from the ads and commercials."

"A free shopping trip AND trip to the spa?!" Lauren thought excitedly, "What idiot would be stupid enough to reject that?!"

"I'm in!" Lauren said loudly, grabbing her bag and towel before making her way to the pool gate. "I'll catch you guys later! Outside the pool, okay?"

"See you then, Lauren!" Taylor said in a chipper voice as she watched Lauren walk towards her apartment. When Lauren was out of earshot, Taylor and Lisa looked towards each other, both wearing the same evil smile.

"I love you, you evil genius!" Lisa stated.

"I know." Taylor stated in response, walking over to their bags as they began to pack up and get ready for their day out.

... And Lauren's downfall.
