Taking notice and mistakes

I couldn't even bother to listen and went back immediately to my seat with friends and teams. Their reactions were varied from Nora and Yang being hyped to concerned Ruby and Pyrrah to none being Ren and half Blake while the other half was mildly curious. I sat down in silence as none had tried talking about what just happened. Trying to get my mind off this I looked back at my scroll scroll telling me I only had 83% aura and that is after the fight.

"That doesn't seem right." I think to myself "I know those pebbles wasn't enough but why am I this lo- My semblance that's why, it drained my aura to boost, of course" I come to realization

"So that's what Goodwitch meant back then. Hmm." I go over in my head

Speaking of she brings up the Vytal festival and students that will be coming from the other Kingdoms. Even in my mind with boosted processing capacity, strength, speed and above all power I still feel a sense of intimidation as I look at her. Then I really look at her and take notice of her figure.

Her soft yellow hair in a bun and small curl one the side of her face next to her serious face and glare. She wore a white blouse that goes into a black corset/skirt ending above the knees. Beneath that followed black stockings cover her legs down to her thigh high heel boots. She looked great in her outfit, but beside the tight fit that shows her curves she left so much to the imagination she rarely revealed aside from her upper chest with little cleavage showing so little even counting her back that is covered by her short decorative cape that just covers her ass.

"What a tease." Is what my thought process came to.

"Hmm Goodwitch is definitely attractive physically and the danger of trying and failing is exciting, but even without my mind boosted I can tell I had little chance." I mentally sigh disappointed.

After class was dismissed Nora holding Ren's hand running to lunch again this time though it was normal occurrence. See a few dents on my locker but never opened. We got to lunch I didn't pay much attention to what I got or entirely cared. I didn't even have much care for the...odd...looks I am getting.

"What's wrong?" I asked very confused

"Your eating a pretty different meal there then usual." Yang tells me.

I look down to see a big fish, a half a bowl of steamed vegetables and red dip I have been dipping the vegetables in. A lot different than chicken nuggets I would usually get.

"Is it really that strange." I ask

"Isn't that the red sap stuff you said you were allergic to." Ruby asked back

Fuck.

I feel a little irritation in my throat thinking quickly I raised my hand to my face and throat making it look like I'm checking my temperature while just boosting areas to heal or improve immunity I wasn't sure which it was but it worked.

"I don't think it is I think it's a strawberry syrup." I try to play it off.

"Uh huh. So lover boy that was quite the fight back there I'm impressed. I didn't know you had it in you." Yang says with a smile and subtle wink

She was playing ignorant and changed the subject.

"Yeah that was amazing how'd you even do that." Ruby gets excited

Getting everyone's attention I was stared at they all expected an answer, knowing I had to say something I keep it vague and humble.

"I have been training a lot recently in secret and when my fight with Cardin began I knew he was going to underestimate me so I started out pushing myself as much as possible and used strategy at his most unstable. It was mostly luck really that he didn't fight with a clearer head." I try to explain

Some were accepting and others others not so much.

"Jaune I can recognize luck and skill enough to tell the difference between the two, you did not rely on luck." Pyrrah states

"Well maybe I'm stronger than you think I am." I say in a serious tone

"So" interjected by Yang "Just how strong are you then lover boy?" She asks challengingly

"Aaaack" a girl cried out

Our heads turn to a familiar sight of bullying and racism, that teachers refuse to intervene. Cardin picking on a faunas bunny girl Velvet if I remember.

*sigh*

"Ugh please stop this already. " a pained yet bored sounding voice said

"Stop complaining your gonna be a huntress you can handle a little playing." One of Cardin's lackeys says, Russel I believe

"Hey freak if I tear off your ears would that make you a human." Cardin says this with anger

At this point I feel wrong if I refuse to help when I am this capable.

I got and speed walk over to them giving no time for warning and grab Cardin's wrist using the fading strength boost I have he winced in pain letting go.

"Again with this Cardin?" I asked actually mad at him

"What the Hell Arc!" He asks in pain his team ready to jump in

"Letting out your anger on others that don't fight back. Were you always this weak." I tell him and add more pressure

"Aaargh the hell Jaune let go."

He grabs my arms trying to pry my hands off.

"If I ruin your hand can you still become a huntsman." I say coldly

*Bam*

I look and see Dove the brown haired decent fighter on team CRDL that never opens his eyes. I clench my fist boosting my arm again as well as activating my aura.

"Problem?" I ask

"Let him go."

"Why?"

"You're hurting him."

"And he wasn't hurting her? Do just not care about others or do you just look out for your own."

He threw another punch

I let him hit me aura raised and watched him try to reel his hand back in pain. I grab his hand as well as adding the same amount of pressure that I am using on Cardin getting him on his knees grunting. Their best fighter and the strongest/biggest/leader on there knees the rest became hesitant and the two in my hands scared.

"I can brake your hands here and now or I could let go and you four can walk away right now."

"We'll leave." Said a concerned Sky

"The team leader should be the one making the choice." I turned to Cardin

"Well, are we done here."

"Grr fine we're done."

Cooperative

I release my grip they look around at the entire cafeteria staring at us. They begin to make their way until Sky out of petty and very pitifully tries to shove me to save face as I did not even take a step back. I heard claps but in all honesty I didn't even like it they don't even deserve to do just that.

"Umm thank you."

"Huh." I turned to the bunny girl

"Oh no don't worry I'm sorry I never did anything sooner."

"Anyway I really appreciate it."

"Would you like to eat with my team and friends I gesture towards my table."

"Sorry I should meet up with my team."

"Yeah same."

"Bye." I see her walk away and liked the look

I returned to my seat greeted with varied expressions. Joy, acceptance, shock, and upset.

"Well well well Lover Boy I didn't know you had it in you bu-" Yang started

"OK!" Weiss raises her voice "Why do you keep calling him that?" Wiess interupted

A "Huh?" soon followed from Yang

"You ok there Weiss." I asked seeing a few heads turn our directions.

"She has been acting different since last night and has been a lot more comfortable with you since before your fight in Professor Port's and calling you 'Lover boy' a lot, not to mention you are different than before, and your team dynamic have also changed what is happening?"

"What goes on with me and my team is none of your business and I don't what you mean is wrong with Yang-"

"I have have just been impressed seeing his skills and have grown a new friendship with a fellow blonde who can also kick ass with and without a weapon too."

"Uhh can we just calm down and finish lunch." Pyrrah tries to reason

"Pyrrah! As the most capable of your team you need to charge when in the presence of an incompetent leader." Weiss barks at her

"WOW, ice queen how about you just back off of them and chil-" Yang tries to bring

"Oh fuck you ice pick." I snapped at her

Silence among the table aside from the sounds of a hungry Nora too focused on her food.

"EXCUSE YOU ARC!?"

"NO, EXCUSE YOU SCHNEE! You can call me a terrible leader but I am chosen and seen as more fitting for the position than you and from today onward I am leagues above you as a fighter." I stand to leave taking my tray to the trash and out the door.

Well that got heated quick.

'Ok at least I have time to myself.'
