Take things slow

Sarah took a deep breath before looking into Jill's beautiful eyes and nodding with a smile. "That sounds really nice. I know a cute little cafe near the house that has amazing cocoa and Christmas cookies this time of year." Sarah said.

Just then, Sarah's eyes widened. "Oh my gosh, home! We gotta hurry, mom will kill me if I'm late for dinner!" Sarah and Jill hopped back in and drove back to Sarah's.

"Sorry we're late, mom. We lost track of time while I was..... showing Jill around town." Sarah apologized. She was taught lying was a sin, but it wasn't technically a lie given she showed Jill around her father's church which was part of town.

"Sweetie, you don't have to apologize. It's only 5:30 and you aren't a child any more." Leslie said with a chuckle. Sarah was grateful that her mother had the kindness of a saint. "Would you ladies like to help with dinner? I'm making roast then some cookies for dessert." She asked and Sarah and Jill both nodded.
