Who are you to say no?

Take the tour

Chapter 5 by dws dws

You have a bad feeling about this. Being alone with a monster girl is asking for trouble. But you did come all the way here, and she’s already invited you inside. You don’t want to come off like a frigid prick by running away now. You push away your concern and step inside, taking off your shoes for politeness sake.

The first room you walk into is a cosy living area, with a television, couch, and posters for various bands and artists on nearly every wall, “You like music?” you ask to your host as she potters around the place looking for something. She bends over to rummage through a pile of papers on the coffee table, giving you a full shot of her bare ass and legs. You avert your gaze.

“Big time. You don’t mind a bit of noise, right?”

“As long as it isn’t at one A.M.”

“Yeah, those are noise complaint hours… found it.” She pulls out a document covered in printed type. “This is the rent bill; the landlord likes to keep everything real official. I know we already talked money, but I just wanted to show you that I wasn’t lying.” She hands the paper over to you and it seems that there’s nothing amiss.

“Looks good to me.”

“Why you moving into Vestprada anyway? Not usually a haunt that single men come to.”

“New job and my contract was running out with my old place, so I shopped around a bit and found your ad.”

She crashes down onto the couch and looks thoughtful for a moment, “Oh! I didn’t even tell you my name. I’m Amy.”

“Not Amy Von Vestprada the fourth?”

She scoffs, “Hey! I only turned a few years ago. I’m a solo act, only one in my family. You might want to go a few blocks down the road for people like that.” She seems to take the jab in stride though, laughing as she thinks about the stuffy nobles that hang around the city.

Amy shows you around the rest of the apartment. Despite the rather compact living room, there’s a sizable kitchen and second bedroom to spread out in. With some of your own stuff, it’d really feel like home. Amy seems nice, and the price is good.

“Well, I think we have a deal Amy, this place looks perfect.”

“You really don’t mind rooming with me?”

“No problem. I’m moving out in two weeks; I’ll get my stuff together and bring it down.”

The ghoul claps her clawed hands together, “Awesome. It was crazy hard finding anyone to move in, thanks a lot!”

You shake on it and leave the place with a smile on your face, what were you even worried about in the first place? She seems cool and the price is right. You can only hope that your new job is as good as the apartment.
