Take in the sights

'Might as well,' Ethan thinks, scanning the area.

The first thing he notes is how green everything is, painfully obvious as that is. Most of Green Valley was littered with trees, as opposed to most rural towns which were, well, more rural. Which is to say there wasn't a lot of farmland, although there still were plenty of fields.

Houses, well spaced out and generally large, sat on either side of the road, most of them well kept, but a few looking in need of some outdoor care. The thought made Ethan sigh, his own lawn needing to be taken care of as well. A job for another day. Nobody was going to cause a fuss over an overgrown lawn around here, if what Ethan was seeing could be trusted as an indication.

A little further up the road Ethan notes a very large house, a mansion really, and the only property that has a fence around it. As he gets closer, he can tell the place is abandoned, making even the shabbier homes in the area look pristine by comparison. He vaguely recalls asking about it once in his youth, and his Grandpa telling him it used to belong to a very rich man a very long time ago. While far from an expert on homebuilding, the house was clearly not from this century or last, or maybe even the one before that…

‘Oh well,’ Shrugs, passing the house, ‘Not my mess.’
