Take her on a walk.

Giving her a grin of his own, Tom got out of bed and walked over to the closet, telling her, “I’ve got an idea.” She didn’t ask for any clarification, and just stood there, waiting happily for her husband to come back. Now, he did end up standing in the closet a little longer than normal, acting like he was looking hard for what he already had in his hand. He’d had a whole day to plan out how this day was going to go, and one of the first things he’d done was get a few things out of the back of the closet. When he walked back up to Sarah, he was carrying a dog collar and a leash. Her eyes were on it right away, and her tail was beginning to speed up its wagging. “Want to go for a walk?”

“Yes!” she said immediately, before coming up to Tom and giving him a tight hug. Then, she backed away a little and turned around, and pointed to her neck. Without needing to be told twice, Tom put the collar on her and attached the leash. Sarah was about to get dressed, but he stopped her.

“Dogs don’t usually wear clothes where out on a walk with their owners, now do they?” Without even a brief moment of resistance, Sarah nodded at what he said, and watched him get dressed without her. He led her out of their home, out onto the street, and she even went the extra mile to get down on all fours. It looked natural on her, and aside from her head of hair and human-like torso, she looked like any Golden Retriever on the street. They got a few looks, but Tom couldn’t tell if they were from his rather unkempt appearance (having just gotten out of bed) or because of his anthro dog wife on a leash. When they passed by an acquaintance of Sarah on the street, she almost called out to her, but Tom stopped her by pulling on the leash. “No!” The admonishment sent her tail between her legs. “Dogs don’t talk while on walks, do they?” It was then that he noticed how wet the fur around her crotch was: she was getting off of the advanced pet play as much as he was.
