"Sure, no problem," you tell her, dreading the work ahead; you still have a couple more beds to do, and at the rate, you can work it is going to take you the rest of the day.

"Thanks," she says, "sorry."

Haruka then begins to leave the agriculture dome, picking up her drenched dress, belongings, and the spear she leaves you alone, having much work to do, alone.

Slowly over the next few hours, move hydroponic beds, hook them up with water, and slowly and meticulously set the crop into them. You stop for a quick lunch and Haruka rejoins you.

You are sitting down, eating a ration out of a packet; which as it turns out is quite unpleasantly bitter and dry. You see Haruka coming towards you, she has put on new clothes, this time a blue blouse, and tight jeans; you smile.

"Sorry," she says.

"Oh no, work has been going fine," you tell her, holding out a packet for her.

She gently grabs the food, thanking you. She tears it open, revealing the unpleasant meal inside; she puts a bite into her mouth.

"Rachel, agrees with me. She thinks the tool has been made in the last couple of months," she says, wrinkling her nose at the taste of her meal.

"Does that suggest there could be other humans?" you ask, your excitement tempered by the constant stream of bad news over the past couple weeks.

"Most likely, but they seem to have regressed in technology if they are," she says, "They merely sharpened the metal by rubbing it on a stone."

You both sit there in silence after that, enjoying the unpalatable meal, worried yet excited about the possibility of other humans. Done, both of you return to work, the conversation gradually drifts away from the possibility of humans and onto more mundane things.

Eventually, it gets late, your alarm letting you know it is time for bed. You both head out of the dome, and towards the bedroom. You both shower and then return to sleep, joining Yasmin and Rachel who both already lay there sleeping.
