Succubus

History

(Note this is not mentioned in any of the source material. I came up with it to explain certain actions of succubus in the story. I am open to suggestions you have. Please leave them as a comment to ensure that you take credit for your idea(s).)

How succubi came into existence, as with most races, is unknown._ One theory is that God created them to seek companionship, more than humans. Another theory is that succubi were the result of a "failed" magic experiment. Yet another theory is that they are an off-shot of demons. Regardless of how they came into being, there is evidence of succubi existing either at the same time or shortly after humans came into being.

In ancient times, many succubi viewed humans merely as food. Because of this, they were perfectly fine with draining all energy from a person, causing ****. This ended up revealing the existence of succubus to humanity and their reaction was one of fear and protection. While some claims made by humans were exaggeration, there was a legitimate fear of being killed by one as food. The ensuing chaos cost many lives on both sides. The result was succubi going into hiding. Eventually, they developed rules and guidelines to interact with humans, without endangering themselves.

To survive, succubi developed rules and guidelines for interacting with humans.

• Succubus should avoid draining all of energy from humans, so as to not kill them.
• Keep the nature as a succubus a secret.
• There is an exception for partners who have earned their trust or family.
• Succubus avoid having multiple partners, especially at the same time.
• The reason is that this kind of set up could create suspicion as to the succubus nature to the humans.
• Succubus should try to find a single person to serve as their food source.
• This person should be willing to enter a sexual relationship.
• If the person can be trusted beyond a shadow of a doubt, you can reveal your nature. This requires the approval of an impartial succubus take on the trustworthiness of the person.
• Do not expose the identity of other succubus.
• Do not **** men.
• Avoid interfering with the relationships of other humans.

Most succubi remain in this world, as they prefer the taste of humans.

Abilities

Transformation

Succubi can transform between a human form and a succubus form. This is a change to the succubus' physical form and not an illusion. These forms are fixed and a succubus cannot alter either form on their own. It would require surgery or some other magic. Succubi do not have usually have the ability to transform at will from birth or their awakening. It takes practice to cause a transformation to happen. Once a transformation does happen, it does not require concentration to maintain. A transformation into succubus form can be tried by moments of intense lust or pleasure. Often, these transformations will revert back soon after, but not always.

Arousal Aura

Succubi can emit an aura that increases the arousal of others. It causes males to regain erections much faster, however, this does not cause energy recovery. Other succubi are immune to this effect, though they can detect it.

Sex Partner Detection

Succubi can detect the "scent" of women a person has slept with. Whether this is an actual scent or some sort of spiritual or magical means is unknown. The range of this ability is unknown. If it is scent based, it would be based on the users sense of smell. This ability appears to activate upon awakening.

Society

Children

Because of their low pregnancy rate, children are extremely important to succubi society. Mothers take great care to ensure their children are well looked after and safe, even if it means making sacrifices on their own well being.

Male children are not succubi or incubi. The male child will take the race of their father. They may gain some succubus like traits, but most are usually minor, such as reduced aging after twenty. There is a legend of a male child, who was born with all the abilities and traits of a succubus. Whether this is true or not is unknown, as is the fate of this legendary male succubus. It has been confirmed that this was not the first incubus.

Female children will have the mixed appearance of their parents. The child may gain traits from their father. Their succubus traits will not appear until they awaken. There is a small chance of early awakening, as well as never awakening. The definition of a pure succubus is to have a pure succubus mother and a human father.

A mother will also train her daughter upon their awakening, teaching her all of the sexual and succubus knowledge they have. This process often results in mothers forming very close relationships with their daughters, to the point where they might even share lovers.

Sexuality

Succubi are usually very open about their sex life with each other and can share partners. There are times where a succubus will find a male with very high quality semen and want to keep him for herself. Succubi tend to be bisexual, however, individual preferences can result in a preferred gender of their partner.

Succubi are known for trying to seduce the partners of other succubi. There is a precedent for a succubus to promise not to seduce another succubus's partner and keep their word on it.

Due to the importance of children, succubi generally have a strong aversion to sex with minors. While there is not scientific unit of measure for it, it does appear to be stronger than that of humans.

The general view of **** among succubi can be summed up as "shrug". It is common for mother and daughter to have sex with the same partner at the same time. This does not always translate into sex between the mother and daughter. Another factor for their lack of opinion on ****, is that inbreeding does not appear possible with succubus. There are certain mutations that occur during procreation that seem to cancel out the effects of inbreeding. This is not an unusually phenomenon. Rabbits, for example, also do not experience negative affects of inbreeding.

Mating

While succubi are open sexually, they are not so much about mating. Most succubus will avoid having sex that has a good chance of pregnancy with undesired partners. They sometimes do try to mate with more than one person.

Succubi have also exhibited a mating drive or instinct. In humans and most other races, part of the sex drive is the natural desire to procreate, as well as pleasure and intimacy. For succubi, the desire to procreate in the sex drive is replaced with their hunger. This results in the ravenous sex drives that succubi possess. The desire to procreate appears to have become a drive of its own to succubi. When a succubus encounters someone who appears to be an ideal mate to them, in addition to their sex drive, they will also have a strong desire to get impregnated by them. This desire may not be understood entirely by a succubus, though with experience it can be recognized. Another factor in this mating drive is if the succubus is more likely to become pregnant, or an ideal mate has a high chance of impregnating them. This drive appears to be very strong. In many cases, stronger than their sex drive. It also works in tandem with the sex drive. The purpose of the mating drive is to ensure that the race does not become extinct, as the sex drive does for most other races.

Note: I am not a biologist or medical expert, so if you see any mistakes in my logic, please point them out.

While a succubus will resemble a human in appearance, there are some differences, even in their human form.

Awakening

A succubus will normally be the same as a human up until around their 18th birthday. At that time, the succubus nature awakens in them. Once a succubus becomes sexually active after awakening, or was already before, their body will begin to undergo a second puberty. This results in the succubus growing more attractive. This can cause weight/fat lose in certain areas, increased breast size, etc. These changes will also happen in a shorter period of time than they would for a normal human.

Feeding

Succubi still require the same nutritional inputs as humans do. Upon awakening, they gain a new hungry for life energy. This energy is present in all living things and is replenished with eating and resting. A succubus feeds on the energy of others in two ways. The first is by proximity. Being close or in physical contact with another life form allows a succubus to siphon off some of their energy. This is easier to do when the subject is willing or during sex. Instinctively, a succubus will siphon energy from their partner during sex. With training, a succubus can learn how to siphon small amounts of energy from those nearby. The results of this can very and it takes a lot of concentration to do it. Because of this, succubi prefer to get their energy from sex. The second is from semen. Semen contains a good amount of life energy, as it is used to bring about new life. The quality of the semen affects the amount of energy a succubus will get from it.

In addition, succubus feeding also has a sort of taste sense to it. As the taste of semen varies from person to person, so does the "taste" of their energy. This has caused some succubi to prefer to get energy for individuals who meet certain criteria. Unlike ones dietary preferences, a succubus is less likely to reveal their tastes in sources of energy to others.

The amount of energy a succubus needs varies by age. Upon awakening, a succubus will require a larger amount of energy for years. Eventually, as they stop growing, their energy needs will diminish, but still be high.

A mature succubus seems to be able to go without feeding on humans for at least a month.

Breast Sensitivity

In humans, a woman's breasts tend to lose sensitivity as they get bigger. This is because the amount of nerves in the breasts do no change with size. However, in succubi, the nerves in their breasts are proportional to their size, so they maintain sensitivity at all sizes. The development of new nerves can be painful and uncomfortable, but these symptoms are short lived.

Pregnancy

Despite the large amounts of sex succubi tend to have, their pregnancy rate is rather low. Even if they had the same sex life as the average human, it is still lower than the average human's pregnancy rate. Part of the cause of this is the consumption of semen during intercourse. Since the sperm is being used as food, it does not reach an egg.

Unlike humans, succubi do not go through menopause.

The duration of a pregnancy is the same as that of humans. During pregnancy, a succubus can continue normal sexual activities. The womb is designed in a way to protect the child from outside forces, such as hard impacts. This allows a succubus to be sexually active, without putting their unborn child at risk.

Aging

Until adulthood, a succubus will age the same as a human. Once reaching their twenties, their physical appearance will start to age at a much slower rate than a human's.

Tail

The tail is long, black, and has a spade tip. The tail is able to move with a great deal of precision, almost like it was a snake. Even the tip is able to bend. The tail can also apply **** to objects by wrapping around them. Average tail length appears to be 3 feet. The tail can retract to a shorter length.

The tail also has the surprising effect of sometimes expressing the emotions of the succubus, like a dog's tail would do. It is unknown if this was intentionally done by the succubus or was automatic.

Horns

The horns of a succubus resemble that of a goat or some depictions of demons. The appearance of the horns vary between succubi, with some traits copied from their mother. The horns are not made out of ivory, but a substances similar to keratin.

Ears

Besides being pointed, their ears are about the same as a human. They may have a greater range of hearing, but nothing too impressive.

Technology

Recovery Patch

A specialized dermal patch developed by succubi. Its appearance is designed to look like a generic dermal patch or band-aid. The patch is used as a way to increase a person's energy recovery. Regular usage is not advised, as the person will regain less energy with repeated use. Because of this, it is only used for emergency energy recovery for the ****, since giving them liquids orally could be fatal.
