Stick to the sidewalk.

The alley presented possibilities, but Rose wasn't entirely certain she could trust it. There would be little warning if someone was going to cross paths with her, as opposed to the sidewalk, where she'd at least hear a car coming. Plus, the sidewalk was a quicker way towards the party.

Rose carefully glanced around, and began to move forward, crossing the street to the next block. Her mind was racing about how little good the tablecloth did. Even in perfect shape, it didn't wrap around her quite as well as she liked, and now it did little for her lower half. The thought of being caught like this made her heart hammer.

Finally, Rose made it across the street, letting out a light exhale. She just had to keep moving. The less time she spent outside, the less chance she'd be discovered. The barely covered red head kept walking down the sidewalk, being very mindful of her surroundings.

Near the halfway point, she spotted a tree in one of the front yards. Rose noticed a light from the front windows of the house, indicating someone was home. Someone could be near that window and see her.

Getting by this house was going to be tricky, but Rose felt she could do it. As far as she could tell, nobody was near the window at that moment. This was her chance.

Rose held the tablecloth tightly and started to run towards the tree. Once there, she positioned herself so the tree blocked the view of her from the window. The bark of the tree felt a bit rough against Rose's skin. It wasn't a normal feeling to begin with, but it felt even more unfamiliar due to her state of undress.

She was still very visible to the streets, but nobody in the house could see her. She'd just peek around the tree, make sure the coast is clear, and keep moving.

That is, until Rose heard the engine of another car coming down the street. Her brain went into panic mode, as she looked for a way to get out of view of the approaching car!
