Steve Barkin

The writers weren't kind to Steve Barkin and in a couple episodes he was morphed into something stupid and/or cowardly. I suggest you ignore those episodes. For the most part he was not overly bright, but he was tough and mean, a Marine drill sergeant of a man.

There is a slightly sadistic streak in assistant principal Steve Barkin. It might be the reason Middleton High has trouble keeping substitute teachers and he has to fill in so often in different classes. In his position at the school he can dole out punishments or rewards as he sees fit, and he is perfectly willing to play favorites. He may not accept Kim saving the world as a reason to excuse an absence, and she needs to have it excused. Bonnie has failed math classes, and really needs those grades adjusted so it doesn't come back to haunt her on college applications.

There are fanfictions where he is paired with Bonnie (huh?) and others where Betty Director is his love interest. He manifested an interest in Shego while she was not in her right mind.
