Chapter 2 by InDepth InDepth

The journey begins, Where does it take you?

Southward Bound

The cheers of the crowd faded into the distance as the cobblestone road turned to dirt beneath your feet. The party had just begun as you walked the rough road through the grey-cliffed valley. Quite a party it would be, much wine and sex would flow, the dancing and singing would persist deep into the night. But you would see none of it. Your night ahead, and the many to come promised only restless slumber and blood.

Speaking of night, it's fall would be soon. Any half decent adventurer would have left before the sun had warmed the horizon, but a quest this scale required a ceremony, and that many people are hard to round up.

A quest of this scale... "I really shouldn't be here..." you thought, gut clenched at the thought of the upcoming, inevitable battle. There were many warriors far more proficient than you in the realm, but your place in the 3 heroes of Delphi had been cemented by a mysterious power you seemed to command. You, and the other two chosen, were Demigods.

Evangelia, or Vangel for short, was a daughter of Hera, hence her dark ferocity, in the form of intimidating beauty. Her prominent jawline, strong, yet ladylike with its soft curve, along with high cheekbones formed a face of bold excellence. Though that being said, every part of her met the same description, from her long, toned legs and thighs to crush boulders (which she probably could) to her full breasts, bursting over the cusp of her revealing armor as she walked. It really was quite revealing for something meant to protect you, though she claimed it was a tactical choice, to distract her enemies mid combat. And you had to admit, you couldn't argue there. Also gold lined with silver, her breastplate left little to the imagination, leaving her large, round breasts to bulge out the top and bottom alike. The snowy color of her skin gave them a purity unreal, their soft, white texture seemed to promise eternal life to the man lucky enough to suckle upon them. The metal traced her sides in slivers rather than cover the stomach, her iron stomach muscles provided the same amount of protection anyhow, as strong as they were smooth. The decorated metal on her sides formed an enticing V as it met at the base of her stomach and disappeared between her legs, which was where you caught yourself staring.

Quickly turning your head back to the path ahead you cursed yourself, you were on a mission, the biggest of your life, you weren't to be ogling your companions. You dared not even turn the way of Sara while your mind was aroused, for her features never failed to throw you off your course, no matter how many years you had trained together. She was daughter of Artemis, the huntress. Though she bitterly detested the reminder of her stereotype of using a Bow.

Unlike Vangel, her face was delicate, beset with small heavenly details that everyone feared, for the wrath of the gods they might one day bring. Rumor had it her nose was crafted in such perfection, the Queen of a desert land to the South East across the water had killed herself with the bite of a snake. And her golden skin that matched her armor was imperfect in its tone only on her cheeks, where pinkish red warmed from below in the faintest touch of rose.

The fight you had inside yourself to keep your eyes from wandering every time she was near would rumble peaks off mountains, as her flawless figure swayed past you. What you would give to be the armor holding her perfect breasts, or the thin cloth that hugged her curves as she swayed her hips. It hung off her firm round ass, not as big and muscled as Vangels, that would be hard to do, but perfect in shape, and framed by teardrop hips...

And just when you gained control of yourself, her gentle, kind smile, matched with her dancing blue eyes with their fiery yellow centers, imbued with mischief and excitement, would tear your heart out of your chest and lose it to the winds, as if it were lighter than air itself.

A thorned creeper scratched at your leg as the path became narrower, snapping you out of your promiscuous day dream, leaving you stumbling and looking around guiltily. This drew a smirk from Vangel, and you hoped the stumble was all she had noticed.

You wondered why your mind was so desperately trying to unclothe your companions, perhaps the adrenaline was looking for an outlet? Or perhaps some part of you craved to taste ecstasy one last time before what lay ahead.

"There's a clearing on the hill ahead, we might as well set camp before the light fades." Said Vangel.

Finally in control of your thoughts, you spoke, "Agreed, we'll need time to set watch and strategize. The hill it is."

Sara, for the first time this trip, with a serious tone, and a hint of a wild smile, spoke.

"Tomorrow, we hunt the beast."

A peaceful sleep?
