Something unexpected

Before anyone can finish, a terrifying, high-pitched scream pierces the air as a group of bird-like creatures swoop in.

It's a gang of harpies!

They must have seen the wagon and decided to attack.

Hilda ducks down inside her barrel as one of the creatures swoops in low over head, picking up the object with its taloned feet and flying away, leaving Hilda completely exposed to the world yet again.

Four more of the creatures go after the wagon, shredding the canvas covering with their claws to get at what's inside. The sudden attack spooks the wagon's horses, who get free of their restraints and run off.

Another two land near Jorella and Hunk and advance towards them menacingly...
