Something is missing.

When Erica woke up, her neck was sore. The problem with falling asleep so early was that now she was wide awake and it was nighttime. Taking a quick look around the bus, she noticed that most of the other passengers were also sleeping. The kids were still full of energy, even though their parents appeared to have passed out. She felt sorry for them.

Feeling a crick in her back, Erica sat up and stretched, rolling her head around to stretch her neck out, too. A small series of pops could be heard as her body moved through the stretches and she sighed in satisfaction, feeling proper blood flow be restored after sleeping in such a poor position. She reached for her purse to retrieve her phone and check the time when she noticed that something was wrong.
