Chapter 18

What's next?
So you think you're human?
Kim pulled back into parking garage for the University, Lucy still unconscious in the back seat. There were marks all over her arms and legs from Dr. Beaumont's operation. Even though it was still quite early in the day, Kim knew that she would have to cover her arms and legs before Lucy was able to notice.
There was no way that she'd be able to carry Lucy by herself, so she would need to find someone who could help get her back to their room. Sighing in frustration, Kim rested her head on the steering wheel of her car.
"Oh my gosh! Is that you, Kim?!"
Taken by surprise, Kim was quick to raise her head and see who had called out to her.
"Emily!" she said in greeting as she stepped out of her car.
"I feel like I haven't seen you in ages!" Emily continued.
"The faux innocence really isn't necessary," Kim said to cut her off, "Lucy is still knocked out."
"Thank God!" Emily said as she visibly relaxed, "I don't know how much longer I could have kept up that fake smile and my back was starting to hurt. How do people keep such good posture all the time?"
"Can you help me get her to our room?" Kim asked as she opened the rear driver-side door.
Emily peered inside the car to get a look at Lucy, "Of course."
It had been a struggle, but the two of them had managed to get Lucy dragged to the dorms and onto the sofa. Emily had helped Kim strip Lucy of the shirt she had been wearing, replacing it with one of the baggiest jackets that they could find in the dorm.
Of course, the G-cups on Lucy's chest made it difficult for even the jacket to contain her bust.
As Lucy regained consciousness, it took her a few moments to realize where she was. The sound of the movie Tangled was coming from the TV.
Looking out the window, she wasn't able to tell what time it was. It seemed like it wasn't dark outside, but that would mean that she should have been in class. "Kim?"
Kim appeared from her room. "Oh, you're up?"
"What time is it?" Lucy asked as she struggled to move into a seated position.
"Don't worry, it's still Wednesday," Kim replied dismissively.
"Kim?" Lucy said as she pressured her friend for an answer to her question. Kim though acted as if she didn't hear her, instead moving around the dorm to get the sugar pills that had been 'prescribed' to the 'patient'. A sense of time had no value to a cow and it was time to start pushing for the required mental changes even though the physical changes were not yet complete.
"Dr. Beaumont wanted you to take these pills as soon as you woke up," she said as she approached the sofa with a bottle of pills and a glass of water, setting them on the table.
"What about my classes?" Lucy asked as Kim helped pull her into a seated position.
"Come on, Lucy," Kim. She needed some kind of an excuse. Lucy wasn't ready to hear that someone like her couldn't be enrolled in classes and that she was no longer enrolled in any classes at the university. "You just came back from the doctor's office. Would you just take the pills?"
Lucy finally gave in and reached for the pill bottle. She wanted to read the label and see what they were, but was distracted when her extended arm twitched unexpectedly. Had she been sleeping on it? "My arm feels funny."
"Come on, Lucy. Just take the pills."
Lucy sighed and picked up the pill bottle. She tried to twist the cap off, but found herself struggling. No matter what she did, the cap stayed in place.
"Give me those," Kim said as she took the pills out of her hand and easily popped off the cap.
Lucy stared at how easily her friend was able to open the bottle. "I must have loosened it," she said.
Kim rolled her eyes. It would seem that bovinum toxin was quite powerful after all. "The instructions say to take two pills every four hours," Kim said as she poured the pills into her hand to give to Lucy.
Lucy reached for the glass of water to pick it up. Her mouth was dry and she wanted to take a sip before taking the pills. When her arm twitched again, she lost her grip on the glass. It fell to the floor and shattered.
"Jesus, Lucy!" Kim exclaimed. Lucy stared at her hand, then at the glass shards and spilled water on the floor in surprise. What was going on? "Don't worry, I'll clean this up and get you some more water." Kim disappeared back towards the kitchenette to get more water and something to clean up the broken glass.
When she came back, she handed a plastic cup of water to Lucy and then began sweeping up the glass shards on the floor.
Lucy sipped at the water and then took the pills that were still in her hand. "My chest hurts," she told Kim.
Kim looked at her and wondered if it was still to early to get Lucy to do away with clothing. She decided that attempting pushing Lucy to adjust to change on so many fronts at the same time would make it less likely for her to resist to any one change. It was clear that the first effects of the toxin had her distracted and it was unclear how long she would be so tired. If there was a chance that Lucy's mental defenses were lowered, then it was time to strike.
"Lucy... That jacket was the largest thing I could find that would fit on you. If it's too tight, I'm not sure what we can do."
"What did the doctor say?"
"She said that as alarming as this might be, there is nothing medically wrong with you."
"But... The pills?"
"Um... They're just antibiotics. Anti-inflammatories," Kim said. Dr. Beaumont hadn't spoken with her after the surgery, so she did her best to rationalize the sugar pills.
Lucy looked at her friend. "The doctor gave me steroids?"
Kim laughed nervously. "Of course not!" she said quickly, cursing the progress Lucy had made in her zoology classes. "I mean... I didn't ask, but based on what I'm seeing, your breasts are bigger. If the doctor isn't worried, then shouldn't you follow their instructions?"
Lucy considered what Kim had said. "You're right."
"Of course I'm right! Now, it's not like the medicine will work overnight. If your chest hurts and we don't have anything bigger or looser in the dorm, then there's only one thing to do to make sure you're comfortable."
Lucy shook her head. "No, Kim!"
"Lucy..."
"Come on, Kim! I'm not taking my top off in front of you!"
"I just can't stand the thought of you being in pain," Kim exclaimed. She tried her best to shed a tear, although it had been years since she'd been in the drama club and needed to act. "You're my best friend." Lucy's resolve appeared to be weakening, so Kim tried one more time to convince her. "I promise, I'll keep an eye out. Nobody else needs to see you like this."
"All right! Fine!" Lucy exclaimed. She started to unzip the jacket so that she could take it off. "Just know that if you're so desperate to see boobs, there's a ton of them you can look at on the internet!"
Kim didn't even hear what Lucy had said. She was too excited! They had succeeded in rendering Lucy topless!
"You were right, though. My chest does feel better like this."
"As if you needed more proof that I'm ever wrong!" Kim said as she turned away to go back to the kitchen. Lucy stuck out her tongue at Kim's retreating back. "Can I get you something else? Are you hungry?"
"Actually, I'm starving."
"You know you still have a ton of leftovers from the other day?"
Lucy rolled her eyes. "You seriously kept all of that stuff? I said I didn't want any of it!"
"Didn't we just prove that I'm never wrong? Now, do you want the General Tso's chicken or the cafeteria food?" As long as Kim was able to drug her with the sleeping pills, it didn't matter what Lucy chose. "Or should I order a pizza? I'm sure the delivery guy would get a kick out of seeing you like this!"
Lucy crossed her arms over her breasts to cover them, although their sensitivity made it challenging to keep from getting excited. "What the hell, Kim! You promised nobody else would see me like this!"
Kim laughed. Unlike earlier in their conversation, it was a genuine laugh. "I'm kidding. Calm down."
"It's not funny! Just give me the General Tso's!"
Kim raised her hands in deference. "I think we have some diet soda. You want to have that with your chicken?"
Lucy nodded and turned her attention to the Tangled movie that was still playing on the television.
