Skunked again

Dr. Cosmos had just finished opening two cans of dog food before sitting them on the counter. She grabbed two bowls and sat them next to the cans when she heard Bubbles scratching at the backdoor frantically. Bubbles was rather skittish of anything outside of Dr. Cosmos herself or other dogs, which was why she was surprised that Bubbles saw the former CEO as a potential playmate, so when the big dog was scared, that meant something was wrong.

Dr. Cosmos went over to the back door and opened it, the great dane running in as she hid behind her master's legs. "What's wrong, Baby?" The vet asked in a motherly tone of voice as she gently stroked the dog's head.

As if to answer her question, Dr. Cosmos jumped in surprise as she heard Vanessa scream.

Vanessa screeched as she rolled around in the flower bed, rubbing her face into the soil as the mother skunk and her babies scurried through a hole in Dr. Cosmos' fence. The former CEO couldn't believe this. This was her second day of being a dog for some backwater lunatic, and she had been skunked twice!

And to add insult to injury, this time it was right after she had been given that humiliating tomato juice bath at the vet's office!

Vanessa fumbled blindly around for a bit until she felt what appeared to be a hose. Reaching up, she turned the faucet and splashed her face and eyes with the water for a few seconds. She turned the faucet back on as she rubbed the water on her face before blinking a few times as she sat back down in the flower bed. She let out a whine before looking up...

And coming face to face with a none too pleased Dr. Cosmos.
