Skirmish
"Uh, s-sis?"
Syri looked on in fear as the knights from far away quickly noticed the two women and began to call for the other soldiers to hurry. Dimyri closed her mind off momentarily, now pulling Zimi hard as she nearly lost her footing.
"Whoa!"
"S-Sorry." Dimyri said squeamishly, her eyes locked on the approaching horde of knights. Soon they began to draw their swords, the sound of unsheathed blades slicing through her ear drums and piercing her heart. If she could just close her eyes and make them disappear.
"What was that?" Zimi raised her head, listening when she thought she heard the sound of clinking metal.
"We need to go back." She hurried, now pushing her Aunt while holding her to keep her balanced.
"What?"
"We need to go back now!" Some of the knights began to run after them, and they were not too far from making contact.
"Hey you, stop!" One of the knights called out.
KuliKuli looked over at her friend. "Wolfy?"
"Got it!" Reta charged forward and past the two girls, locked onto the nearest knight with his sword drawn. This would be tricky, she thought before tilting her head an inch to the side as the blades reflection caught the image of her face. Having thrust his weapon forward, the knight pulled his body back in an attempt to swing his sword in a quick swipe, missing his target by a hair or two. Reta fell roughly on her arm for support, falling sideways to narrowly miss his weapons might before kicking at his elbow.
The armor would prevent him from bending his arm the wrong way, but the impact was enough to stun him and force him to drop his sword. Dimyri would turn to catch a quick glance as more knights had arrived to confront their cursed friend, with Zimi gulping hard and trying to block out the grunts and noises of battle. At last, Zimi was safe among her family as her blindfold was removed, gasping at the sight of a thin woman shouting as she swung a metal boot onto the visor of another knight.
"Should we help?" Syri asked, with KuliKuli shaking her head.
"I don't think I can." Na'Vi groaned, feeling her wounded legs as she sat against the wall.
"We can't with that dumb rock in the way. We need to go back!"
"No!" Dimyri called back, her attention focused on the busy hallway.
KuliKuli stuttered, taken back. "No what? No to safety?"
"This is our safety, right past those doors! If we go back, we may as well lock ourselves up and save them the trouble. We do this now!"
"Okay, well how?"
"I'm thinking!" Dimyri scanned around, her eyes focusing heavily on the torches hung at each pillar.
Reta hissed after backing up, the tip of a sword slicing her stomach enough for her to bleed slightly. Another sword came her way as she twisted and spun herself around, moving with the blade before grabbing the knight's gloved hand and moving his arm in the way to block another attack. KuliKuli growled, observing her friend handle this overwhelming crowd in a losing fight just to stall for time. Looking down, she caught wind of the blindfold Zimi had dropped.
Syri tugged at her sisters hand using her tail. When Dimyri turned to look, Syri fell on her paws and transformed into an infant sized white cat tilting her head up and staring with those large green eyes of hers. Both Zimi and Dimyri began to smile wide, with Dimyri scooping her sister up into her arms.
"Sis, you're a genius! Nity- erm, K-" She turned to see KuliKuli had fastened the blindfold over her eyes, securing it with her tails before stepping into the hall. "Nityri!"
"I'm not standing by!" She shouted back, walking into a pillar by mistake. Reta by now was lifting her leg to miss a lower sweep from one knight, only to be tackled down by another and being pinned.
"No, let me go baka!" She stretched her arms as the other knights ran ahead to be met with KuliKuli grabbing his chest before tipping over and holding onto him. He grabbed her mildly puzzled by her concealed eyes when a harsh sound echoed behind her.
"MEEOOOWWWWWW!!!" Suddenly a white cat bared its fangs and lept up to the man, clutching his helmet and pushing his visor up. His brown eyes stared in fright as this white cat slipped inside before falling into his chest piece, making him jump and kick his feet, punching his chest and howling.
"She's in me, she's in meeee!"
KuliKuli lifted her head when something grabbed her arm before pushing their weight behind her to pin her down, the sound of chains ringing in her ears to accompany her. Maybe walking in blindly was a stupid idea. Suddenly a manly grunt, those chains were being twisted and jangled around before this weight left her body, freeing her. Little did she know her older sister had just stunned her assailant, pushing him off and helping her up.
"Transform!" She whispered when out of nowhere, another cat screeched out up ahead. This cat sat on a man's back, the same man holding Reta onto the ground before the other few knights moved in to catch it. They missed as it jumped away, effectively tricking them into collapsing on top of Reta's man. It didn't provide the wanted effect, now there were three men on top of her and not in a fun way.
"Kuso!" She howled, struggling with so much weight on her now. She watched as this familiar cat turned to look at her for long enough for the woman to recognize this feline. "Zimi?"
Zimi turned her little feline head and dipped her head down to avoid a hand making a grab at her. Slipping between his legs, she jumped to the right as another knight went for a dive and fell forward catching disappointment.
Dimyri helped KuliKuli up, slowly making their way forward. "Just transform and don't look back."
KuliKuli groaned. "I hate turning little."
"You want to argue in a time like this?"
"Fine." She huffed, before pressing her lips and scowling in concentration. Within a moment, she felt her weight begin to lift as everything else grew bigger, massive even. Her body felt warmer, her tails became one, and soon she was looking up at her sister from the body of a small white and brown cat.
"Good, now make a run for it!"
"Mew!" She wiggled her tiny paws forward, jumping over each knight as Dimyri ran over to pull some bodied away from Reta one at a time.
"MRAWR!"
Reta looked over before being able to breath at last, grabbing Dimyri's hand and being pulled to her feet. "What's that noise?"
"I think it's Aunt Zimi, you okay?" She asked, checking Reta's multiple cuts.
Reta pulled away suddenly, looking crossed. "Easy now, I'm fine. Where's KuliKuli?"
Dimyri pointed over at two cats having a blast clawing at a poor knights helmet. She picked them both up in her arms and began running. "Syri, Na'Vi, let's go!"
One of the fallen knights' arm twitched before a white cat mewed and jumped out from under his chest plate, catching up with her sister. Reta moved back, catching her breath before moving her arms up as she looked down at Na'Vi. "I'm not carrying you like this."
Na'Vi nodded, closing her eyes and feeling her back slide against the wall before growing fur. Opening them, she was quickly picked up in Reta's arms as she ran up to join Dimyri up ahead. She moved in as they arrived at the doors, pushing one slightly ajar.
Then retreating slowly, shocked and dunbfounded as a stern man approached them, glaring with a surpressed fire in his eyes as his dark black robes complimented his fury rather well, until the look of horror in their eyes shifted his reaction rather quickly.
"Where do you think you're going?" Perdilius sneered.
