She stays with him

"Hm, what was that?"

"No, nothing. I uh, I probably shouldn't..." She shook her head, her stomach growling once more and her mouth now feeling a slight tingle. Poking around with her tongue confirmed her worries as her fangs had come out, prompting her to keep her mouth closed or hidden. She could only pray that her eyes remained their natural eye color.

"Hey, I could hear that too you know." Vaalyun said, stepping forward. "You shouldn't ignore what the body needs, c'mon let's go get you some food." He reached out for her hand, feeling warm against her somewhat cold touch.

Flora shook softly and turned to face him, keeping a hand over her mouth in an awkward manner to conceal her fangs. "I don't know if that's what I should do."

"Of course, here let me get you something right now. It would be the gentleman thing to do after all hehe." She sighed, finding his soft heart and kind manners cute and adoring. He wasn't the most charismatic but she could definitely see he meant well. To best describe him, he felt safe to be around, like a teddy bear for a little girl, and it made her worry further about losing control and baring her hunger towards him.

Taking her by hand, they approach a food stand where he purchases a turkey leg and hands it to her. "It's not the most romantic gesture, but it is certain to help fill an empty belly." She nods and raises the leg to her, taking a bite being careful not to reveal her fangs. Her teeth sank into the meat, slicing through and taking a bite out before chewing on it. Deep in her head, she felt a pang of relief mixed with guilt. She used to be a vegan, not the biggest fan of meat and now here she was, contrasting her past life by hungrily enjoying her snack.

"Gosh, you sure are hungry haha. Never seen a woman eat that fast."

Flora paused, slightly embarrassed at his comment and swallowing the chunk of meat and holding back a burp. "I'm sorry, I'm not usually like this ehe."

He smiled back at her. "No problem at all, my pleasure really."

Flora felt her teeth, they were straight and back to normal. No fangs anymore, she sighed in relief and felt a heavy load leave her chest allowing her to breathe. She finished her snack and both of them went walking around the festival, calmly watching the people around them having the time of their lives. They all seemed so happy, drinking with friends or family and dancing, some were playing silly games as well.

She noticed one small girl giggling with another, talking to each other giving one another flirting eyes with her hand on the others thigh. The one girl who was initiating the conversation had such an adorable smile on her, with cute dimples and small freckles decorating her face, light mouse brown hair and-

"Bonny?"

"Oh, you know her? Is she a friend, she seems to be having quite the time with her friend there." Vaalyun commented. Clearly it was Bonny, working her ways to charm a slender young woman taller then her and definitely beautiful... uhh, not to say she was looking! Just, admittedly the mystery woman was quite a looker with a nice blue dress showing a leg and two black heels, with an expensive looking gold necklace and curly black hair. Was Bonny just wanting to seduce her, or perhaps...

"Shall I go introduce myself to her?"

"No! I mean uh, no that's fine. She's busy and well, I guess crowded areas aren't my thing do forgive me. Maybe we can go somewhere more private?"

"Private? I have a tent nearby, we can go there if you'd like."

Flora nodded, eager to get away before being noticed by Bonny. She practically pushed him away as Vaalyun took the lead and passed through a crowd, squeezing through plenty of people. A few minutes later, they arrived and Vaalyun held open the flap for her to enter the large tent, inside she could see he wasn't joking about the tent being his. The ground was one large red blanket rolled atop the grass with a few pillows in one corner, a small table stand at the opposite corner, and a medium sized bag.

What truly caught her eye however was a large canvas with a stand at the center with a paint brush and several painting oils kept aside.

"Do you..."

"Paint? Yea haha, it's a silly hobby of mine."

She bent over to pick up a canvas left on the floor, it was an inage of a wolf staring at her with a forest in the background shedding several leaves that gave the image that the wind had been blowing. "It's not silly at all, it looks really beautiful. You're quite the artist Vaalyun."

"You think so?" He asked, shyly looking away.

She nodded and smiled back. "Without a doubt, yes. How long have you been painting?"

"Its uh, been a thing for sever years now. Parents appreciated it and I was never the biggest fan of my hometown, so I took a chance and walked out to explore on my own."

"You weren't afraid?"

"Of course I was, I was shaking with every step, worried that a monster girl would pounce on me and have me for lunch or worse. But if you don't take a chance in life, you won't go anywhere."

She paused, setting the painting aside gently. "Have you ever painted anyone yet, maybe sell it for a good price?"

"Not yet, I was hoping somewhere down the back of my head that perhaps you would be my first. But if my heart were to be honest, it would not be a painting to sell. I wouldn't be able to give it away."

She blushed, why was he saying such kind words to her? "You need to be careful Vaalyun, I could be a monster girl for all you know after inviting me into your tent."

"Yea, you very well could be. But I'm not a child, and if you were a monster girl then I would say I'm risking my life right now just to spend time with the most beautiful monster I've seen."

"..."

"Flora?"

It was back again, the hunger.

This is it, this is what Alice spoke about. Her time to decide how tonight ends, the turkey leg satisfied her hunger temporarily but only one thing could tame her needs for certain and she knows it. Taking advantage of Vaalyun would be what Mary would do, what a vampiress would do.

But what would Flora do?
