She lies

"Well, after you all left, Sam and I both bolted. I don't know where he went, but I came to the guys' locker room. I found these clothes lying around and put them on."

You're surprised that Rebecca's lying to Rachel. I suppose she's trying to protect me, you think with satisfaction. Definitely made the right call in playing the knight.

"Okay..." Rachel says slowly. "But how'd you get in there?" she asks, pointing to the still-dark coaches' office where you continue to hide.

"Um," Rebecca falters. "I was looking for another way into here, and there's actually this weird utility closet between the men's coaches' office and this one."

"Wait, so you've been...?" Rachel starts to ask. If possible, she looks both sympathetic and suspicious at the same time.

"Yeah, watching from there and waiting for everyone to leave. But I saw you stand up for Sam back there, and I actually thought that was pretty cool. So, I thought maybe you'd be able to help me, too?"

You can see Rachel weighing her options. Whatever plans she has for your phone probably don't involve getting mixed up with Rebecca. On the other hand, you've come to think of Rachel as a nice person, so she might just help because it's the right thing to do.

"How could I help you?" Rachel asks.

"Well, do you have any spare clothes I can borrow? I can't walk around in these sweaty gym shorts all night."

It looks like Rachel's decided to lend a hand.

"Um, yeah, okay," Rachel says, still bewildered. She starts heading over to her locker, and you're starting to feel pretty good about the situation.

Just as Rachel and Rebecca both approach the athletic lockers, though, you hear someone coming into the locker room. And it appears as though the girls inside don't notice.
