She heals him.

Euphemia and the wounded warrior stared at each other tensely. He was severely wounded, she could smell the blood off him. He had his weapon pointed at her yet asked her to disarm herself. She hesitated but complied once he began coughing up blood. She dropped her bow and ran over to wounded man. His head was the only part of him exposed as the rest of his body was concealed within a thick plated armor. Effie took his face into her hands and began reciting an old calming spell her father had taught her as a child. The warrior drifted into sleep.

Effie reached for her canteen and poured a small amount of water onto the dirt. She used the fresh mud to carefully paint a pattern of circles and elvish symbols into the warrior's forehead. A glowing green aura confirmed she had cast the spell successfully. The spell was a simple but weak healing spell that should ensure the warrior's survival until she was able to get him back to the village to heal him properly.

Effie tried lifting the man over her shoulder but his armor proved too heavy for her to move him efficiently. Luckily her younger brother soon emerged from the forest riding on the back of a stag. He was always skilled in understanding and befriending the creatures of the forest.

"Help me lift him unto the stag." She pleaded to her brother. her brother helped her toss the man onto the stag's back, having never refused a request from his sister.

"Where will you take him?" Her brother asked. " The village healer will never help one of the round ears and that's if one of the rangers doesn't come across you on your path. he'll be killed on sight."

"He is the bravest warrior I've ever come across. it would be a sin to leave him here to die." She said as she mounted the stag. her brother handed over the man's weapons.

"Where will you take him?" He asked.
