Chapter 4 by ACertainFool ACertainFool

What happens to interfere with her soaking?

She has been summoned!

Hinoka was lazing in the warm waters, a cool breeze caressing the water and starlight aglow in the spring steam. The water was the perfect, just warm enough to loosen the bones and ease the muscles but not so hot that it was uncomfortable. Hinoka let out a loud sigh. Her eyes felt heavy, her toweled head resting on her arms. She didn't bother resisting the gentle lull of sleep, it had been a tough week of battles and training - and it was hardly like anyone was going to bother her, she was royalty!
Comforted by those thoughts her mind drifted between reality and dream, flittering in and out of reality.
However, tonight Hinoka's Hot-spring induced nap would end in a way no-one could have predicted. As her mind wandered and her guard lowered further and further, the mists of the spring grew thicker and thicker. Perhaps if she had been awake she might have noticed the abnormal amount of mist encroaching her. Perhaps she might have noticed how the world seemed to fade around her.
"Hinoka" whispered a voice in the back of her mind, ringing like chimes of glass. Her eyes darted open.
"W-Who's there?" She asked, looking into the mists. She fumbled her hands behind her trying to grab something to defend herself with.
"Setsuna? Hinata? Is that you?" She yelled. Her hand clasped onto a pile of wooden wash buckets.
"I swear if this is some kind of joke I'll - " Hinoka never finished her sentence. In an instant the mists grew so thick she could barely see her nose. Then they disappeared and she felt cold, she was in the spring no more. The world had shifted into a channel of vibrant blue with a powerful wind - or perhaps it was just her falling, falling in nothing more than a towel and armed with a pile of washing buckets.
The next moment she was still. She felt solid ground beneath her bare feet. It was cold - like a kiss of ice. The air was no better, cool and frost-laden compared to her warm and wet body. Hinoka blinked several times, her eyes cleared of mist. She was standing in some sort of open air courtyard. The sun was up, though it didn't seem to be shining warmly. In front of her was some kind of Monolith, it was in the center of what looked like a star pentagon that had been carved into the ground. The courtyard smelled old and kind of dusty - as if the stones had been crying. A silhouetted figure appeared from within a shroud of mist. Hinoka turned to face them.
"Who are you? I - I was bathing there! Don't you have any manners?" She yelled raising one of her buckets.

Who has summoned Hinoka?
