She has a suggestion

"I..." Crystal looks at the floor. "We can't just create earthquakes here in the bay area. I mean, we're right here on several major San Andreas fault lines. How would you feel if we set off the 'big one'."

"Hopefully we won't set off more earthquakes," you say.

"Uh, isn't that pretty much the plan?"

Well, yeah. And, on further thought, that might not have been the most brilliant idea. Still, Anna is right... you've got to test the hack. Earthquakes do happen all the time in the bay area. Just in the past twelve hours there was a quake near Livermore and another near Truckee, not to mention several in Southern California. Sure it was a coincidence that it happened while they were having sex and its epicenter seemed to be directly under Crystal's apartment, but coincidences happen. Maybe it wasn't their hack. Maybe they'd just fucked like bunnies through an earthquake. They had to replicate the experiment.

"Where else we go?" Anna demands. "If I go back to Russia, they never let me out again."

"We're not going to Russia." You can be pretty confident about that. First, you don't want to earthquake Moscow any more than you do San Francisco (well, maybe a little more... you've got more friends in San Francisco), and second, if you could afford to fly to Russia, you could afford to rent hotel rooms somewhere in the midwest where earthquakes never happen. Maybe in Oklahoma where your great grandparents lived before they came out to California during the dust bowl years.

"My aunt and uncle have a cabin in Tahoe," Crystal says. "We could stay there for a couple of weeks and... experiment."

"Perfect," Mara says. "Once we get the hang of the hack, we can head to the casinos and make some money."

Anna giggles. "Fucking in casinos sounds like adventure."

"Yeah," you say. "If you want to get beat up by some Mafia types. I don't know that Tahoe casinos are owned by the mob but I'm pretty sure they have goons who break kneecaps and skulls if anyone starts winning more than the casino thinks they should."

"I've never been to Tahoe," Mara says. "Let's go."
