She forgot her tent.

Katie couldn't believe it, not only did her suitcase open on the ride losing all she packed but her tent was missing too.

"Mom where is my tent? " asked Katie.

" I don't know, where did you put it? " replied her mom.

" It was with the others in the entry, Kevin was loading them in the car. " replied Katie.

" No I wasn't, I was just loading mine. First rule of camping, everyone is responsible for his own tent. " replied her brother.

Both her siblings tents where too small for her to sleep in with them. She only had a skirt and tube top to wear for the whole trip, which meant she would have to sleep naked, not something she would like to do in her parents tent.

"He's right sweetie and don't expect to sleep with us. You wouldn't learn a lesson and we gave you your own tents to have some privacy. " said her dad.

"But where can I sleep then?" asked Katie.

"You have your sleeping bag and the nights will be warm. You can sleep under the canopy on the side of our tent. You won't get wet if it rains that way. " proposed her mom.

Katie saw no other options, pushing aside the table and chairs she laid her mat and sleeping bag outside on the side of her parents tent.

They were all tired of the trip and after setting camp the night was falling.

Katie waited for it to be dark before removing her clothes and sliding in her sleeping bag. She made sure to be totally hidden with only her head visible and fell asleep.
