She asks questions

"You sure look young, Liz. Aren't you embarrassed to be standing out here in just a thin shirt and panties? Stacy asked.

Lauren was taken aback by the question.

"Of course, who wouldn't be?"

"Come on, lets get out of here." Stacy offered her hand.

Lauren took her hand and let the woman lead her to her car.

"So Lauren says you're staying with her for a while?"

"Yes, for vacation. Before school starts again."

"And by school you mean university?"

"Yes, of course. I already registered for classes and my patents outside the tuition." Lauren averted defensively.

"What classes are you taking?"

"It's my first year, so English 1, Chemistry 1, Introduction to Philosophy, chemistry lab, and college algebra."

"Does that make you a part time student?"

"No, it makes me a full time student."

"So explain to me how a college student gets pushed out of her apartment without getting fully dressed first?"

Lauren hesitated. She wasn't expecting that. She had to answer quickly or Stacy might suspect something's amiss. If she said the wrong thing, she could suspect Lauren was hiding something. Of course, she didn't know Stacy still wasn't clear on Liz's age.
