Your food is brought to your table. The waiter's wearing a Coinpilfer uniform. Does that mean that students can work here? You get your god-pattern muffin on a plate, and Jace gets a ham and cheese croissant. The delicious food in front of you helps to take your mind off of Delilah for a bit.

"We should spar sometime." Jace says. "I'm going to want a partner to practice with once we get our equipment, and it should be a nice bit of fun. Help you to... you know, get back into your normal headspace. OH, wow, I nearly completely forgot -- Delilah had some friends in our room earlier today, just after Combat Class. Two third years. It sounds like.... it sounded like they're going to try to- fondle you, or something. They're going to pretend it's about your armour. Keep an eye out for that."

Woah! Good thing he told you, now you'll be sure to keep a watch. Imagine if you'd ran into them before he warned you!

The two of you eat your food for a few minutes. You talk during that time, but it's not about anything important, and the pauses are a bit longer than normal. Eventually, you've both finished up and Jace pays for the food. As he grabs his things, he doesn't say another word. His silence continues as you both walk beside each other out of the cafe and towards the exit of the food court, but he once again talks just before you reach the food court's door. As he speaks, his eyes stay ahead.

"Hey, I'm not happy with you not being happy. I'm going to see what I can do."

Before you can ask exactly what he means, you're both out the door and he's waving goodbye and heading towards his room. You wave back. You're a bit worried about that, but it's at least good to be reminded that as much as Delilah's not your friend, the rest of your class seem to be pretty alright with you. And that muffin rocked your socks!
