She’s upset

Alex found Julia in the pseudo-breakroom, the unofficial break room that only a few employees know about (of which Richard was not one), it was located in an abandoned storage room from older cinema reels.

Julia was crying on a torn and dusty couch. Alex felt that Julia was probably one of the sweetest people he’d ever met and so he approached cautiously.

“Julia,” Alex murmured softly, “are you ok? Don’t worry about me, I won’t discuss your business with other people.”

Julia tearily looked up at Alex. “That’s not it Alex,” she sobbed, “because I didn’t do it, Richard is going to pass around a tape of me.”

“My parents will find out and kick me out!”

Alex slowly made his way to her side and sat down softly next to her.

“I’m guessing this tape has bad things on it?”

Julia sobbed harder and when she spoke she was mostly rambling.

“He, he, he has a tape of me having sex with him in his dorm. He has asked me out and I said ok thinking he’d finally stop when nothing happened, but I somehow go so drunk he took me back to his dorm. He had sex with me while filming it, and then had his roommate have sex with me too.”

“He filmed everything, and then said that if I didn’t do what he said all the time he would send my parents and friends a copy.”

So not only does it sound like Richard date raped Julia, but it also seemed like he had a friend help and he also took recordings of it in an effort to blackmail Julia into more sexual favors.

Alex took a deep breath.

“First of all, he won’t be sending anyone a tape. If he does, he goes to jail. Second, it sounds like he drugged you. With everything you told me, and with me being a corroborating witness, if we can get our hands on the tape or him on tape acknowledging it’s existence, we can have him thrown in jail.”

“I don’t want a trial. I don’t want my parents to find out! That’s more important to me than being date raped!”

Alex hesitated. “Then how about we just get him fired?”

Julia stared at him with beautiful blue eyes.

“How could we do that? The boss loves him.”

“I’ll have to think on it, but is that what you want to do?”

A fierce look came into her eyes.

“Yes.”
