"Why can't I come along?"

You shrug. "To be honest I don't want to have to carry you around everywhere. I'll be back in a zip don't you worry." You follow this up with a sheepish grin: "besides, I'd like to ply my trade in peace."

Evellyn glowers. "Oh for heaven's sake, your trade? More like perversion. At best it's your hobby."

"That wounds my professional pride."

Evellyn replies with a frown, then spins around and leaves without saying another word. You hop up to the roof of the building, watching her leave the tavern and walk at a brisk pace in the direction of her mansion not much further down the street. You get moving; you have a thief to find.
