Semblance Screwup

Ever since she was young, Ruby's Semblance has been a bit unreliable at times. Sure, it was handy for sneaking out of the house without her dad noticing, or stealing the cookie jar in the locked cabinet, or cleaning herself by letting the filth go through her, or walk through the rain without getting wet, or instantly drying herself by letting the water go through her, or confusing Grimm that would've otherwise hit her, but it could become somewhat uncontrollable when she was greatly stressed.

During these times, it is constantly active. While it doesn't allow her to fall through the ground, it will cause her to be unable to grab things and, more embarrassingly, make her clothes fall off.

The first time it happened, she was caught by her dad while stealing cookies when she was nine, and while being lectured, she suddenly found herself naked with her clothes on the floor. She tried to grab her clothes, but they simply went through her hands, so she ran to her room and hid. For the next few days, the stress prevented her from wearing clothes at all.

The second time it happened, she was 13 and about to go on her first date. When she was talking to the boy, Tim, in the woods, she found herself naked in front of him and hid inside a tree. After explaining things to Tim, he helped the unfortunate girl by making sure her clothes remained safe until she could put them on again. While Tim was kind to her, the Semblance thing was a bit of a dealbreaker for him.

The third time was a bit recently, during her final month at Signal. Ruby had recently figured out that she's bi, and was going on her first date with a girl named Shade. This time though, she found herself naked in the movie theater next to Shade. Thankfully, the girls were in the back of the theater and Shade was quite understanding, having a problematic nightmare Semblance of her own. Ruby spend the entire 3 hour movie naked, though Shade helped her relax enough after everyone left so she could put her clothes on again.

Point is, Ruby's Semblance caused her to become naked during the worst times, and Ruby hoped that she could go through Beacon without an incident with it.
