After exchanging a pass phrase with the Telegram agent, you were granted permission to access a revealing file, marking details of your agent's history. While you'd expected an impersonal, unvarnished format, it was hard not to read into it and understand some of the excitement of the person writing it... they were probably a little giddy at getting a look behind the scenes at such a mysterious and decorated agent. Goodbye, Despedida, and Vaarvel were the beginning members of the team when it first formed. You probably knew that already. Thing is, despite her age, there's not an especially long history of Vaarvel working for CEDIT. In fact, there's no history at all, before she became a Goodbye Girl. She simply poofed into existence out of thin air... but I have a lead. Apparently, at the same time, a woman scientist went missing during an Adder raid in CEDIT of South Africa. Perhaps you heard about that already too?

Okay, okay, but here's something I'm sure you don't know: the team down there was researching some pretty sketchy genetic modification procedures. Specifically, they were looking into something called "dermal camouflage," a technique which can allow the modified to alter any detail related to their skin, from wrinkles, to pigmentation, to blemishes. The trigger for activating it could either be remote or implanted into the body, to be activated by the user. Sounds pretty ideal for a master of disguise, huh? The one catch... you'd have to remove nearly every inch of someone's flesh and replace it with artificial skin in order to do it. Yikes...
