You can't believe it. Your first time away from home is to join the Xavier school. A small town farmer's boys like you may seem like a rube when you step off that bus to The Big Apple, but you're not your average farm boy. Y'see... you are a mutant. X Ray vision. Not as impressive as some massive hulking super strength badass and probably not near as useful as the mind-reading Professor Xavier can do; but you enjoy it. Until the headaches, that is.

Lately, if you stare through things any longer than about five minutes you head starts throbbing something fierce and you feel like your brain is getting squished. Back home, you used to escape the temptation to use your powers by simply focusing on your chores and your reading... but that's when Charles Xavier visited you telepathically.

It was another quiet day in the corn, checking on crops and reading homework assignments for school when a voice out of nowhere came out and asked if they could talk to you. Not surprisingly, it made you worried you had lost your marbles. Maybe the headaches you'd been getting were some kind of symptom of oncoming psychosis and you finally snapped. But the voice explained that he was a mutant like you and wanted to help you get over your headaches and figure out some kind of noble way for you to use your powers.
