Searching the Forest

Her stomach rumbled, and Attor was already gone, so she got up out of bed and headed to the lakeside to fish.

Humans would probably have done so with a fishing line, or a net made of physical rope, but Viermaes lacked such items or the hsnds to use them. Luckily, her magic worked as a substitute...

She waited by the lake for an hour, plucking out the fish that swam into the net of lightning she'd strung between two rocks. After she'd judged that she'd caught enough, she gathered them up on a floating disc of magic and took them back to the tower.

Attor was waiting for her there. He helped gather the fish up into bags, and then set them up to be smoked.

While they were watching the bags being encircled by smoke, Attor told her of what he'd found in the forest, namely a kobold warren and
