Rose words, Rose gold, Rose strangeness

Attor got into bed rather more gracefully, lifting up the covers and sliding in under them. There was a moment of silence, as he moved his wings about, and then he spoke.

"You know... I could help you get into bed next time."

"That's kind of you, but I'm fine with this way."

"Alright."

Another silence settles in the room, before Attor speaks again.

"Have you ever been to Quadira?"

"The treasure city of draconic legend? No, I've never been there. You?"

"Not me, either. But I'd like to go there one day, if it exists. Go to the gardens, and pick a crystal rose. For you..."

Another silence. Viermaes thought: so, he loves me? After so short a meeting? Either he's ****, or I'm something special... Hopefully he thinks I'm something special, because I think he's pretty attractive myself, and I don't want him spoilt by desperation. But, either way - he can flirt all he likes, but he'll have to prove himself a good partner, not just a good foghter, before I'll lift my tail. I do have standards...

"For me? I'm flattered."

"Yes, for you... And I'd bring you back a chest of gold and silver, too, but you would be more precious than those."

"Very flatterings, but - we're not going to Quadira any time soon, so, what do you propose to do tomorrow to woo me?"

"Err, hmm... I will

(A1) find you treasure."

(A2) repair your tower."

(A3) find you food."

(A4) scout the forest for you."

"A promising start..." Viermaes said.

A new silence grew, and this one did not end until morning broke...

Viermaes dreamed that night. She dreampt, at first, that she was in her present tower, except that it was filled by endless versions of Attor and the ranger, knifing each other. Eventually, the Attors won, and then merged together into one, who brought her a chest, in which was a golden kobold skeleton. She set it aside with the others, and kissed Attor...

Then she was on top of a pile of gold, watching Attor toil in a mine. The mine became a pond, but Attor kept working, until the pond became a tree, at which point...

Viermaes wakes up, wondering what to do with the day. She decides to

(B1) find treasure.

(B2) repair the tower.

(B3) find food.

(B4) scout the forest more.

(B5) follow Attor.
