Science experiment gone wrong

Hyrule Castle, Before the Calamity

While Purah considered herself to be one of if not the best scientist in Hyrule. She had to admit, if there was any competition for 'best scientist', Princess Zelda would certainly be in the top five. Purah had been collaborating with the princess for the better part of a month. After the discovery of the divine beasts, there was simply too much work for any one scientist to accomplish alone, and while the two had made headway in regards to the application of ancient technology, they eventually came to the conclusion that they'd advance much quicker with cooperation.

With the princess out on lunch, that left the entire lab to Purah. The lab, with its state of the art tech was a wonderland for someone like Purah. The tower that Zelda had sectioned off as her lab was filled to the brim with ancient tech. Since taking on the collaboration Purah had even been taking all nighters, just to be able to work on the tech a little longer each day.

Purah rubbed the tiredness from her eyes as she yawned, she probably did need to get some sleep soon, she reluctantly admitted to herself. She decided that she'd get this last thing done before she went to bed. Purah looked down at the ancient tech on the table, a glowing slate adorned with the symbol of the sheikah. Theoretically, the technology inside could allow its user to transport themselves almost instantaneously, for not the first time, Purah's mind buzzed with the possible applications of such technology.

She had been setting up the experiment for the teleportation tech for the better part of a day. And like any good scientist with a disregard for her own safety, she volunteered herself to be the first test subject.

She tapped through the slate's multiple screens until she got to the teleport function. From her research, she discovered that it needs some focal point to teleport the subject to, but the screen refused to display any. However, by plugging it into another machine, theoretically she could **** the teleportation. Everything was set up properly, now she just needed a location. She thought to herself for a moment, Zelda did say she was at lunch, apparently it was something to do with the other champions. Purah smiled to herself, the dining hall she decided, tapping the instructions into the machine. It was the perfect way to show off her technological prowess to a crowd. She'd even be able to get a bite to eat.

She slammed her hand into the button to initiate the teleportation and she felt herself go weightless.
