Rundown Home Near The Woods

As you walk around the town square you noticed two young people seemingly trying to repair a shack that seems like itd crumble to a strong gust of wind. As you approach you can tell the two people are a young man and young woman. Newlyweds maybe?

As you approached the home you could make out their conversation. It seems like the woman was worried about their financial situation and the stability of their home.

The man for his part was trying to reassure her that everything will be fine. Though you doubt if even he believes in his words.

As they sat in a tense silence you walked over to introduce yourself to them. The man seems suspicious of you at first but lets his guard down a little after you explained who you are and why you came to town. Eventually he let his guard down enough to introduce himself.

He said his name was Markus Dupree and explained the woman with him was in fact his little sister.

Throughout the entire conversation he always made sure to stand between you and his sister. He is clearly very protective of her and borderline obsessive. Anyone interested in her would have a hell of a time dealing with him.

Finally his sister felt comfortable enough to introduce herself as Emily Willis

She seems used to having her brother speak for her so she couldn't really hold a conversation but she made up for it by being adorable.

Apparently the two have had financial issues because Markus lost his factory job in the nearby city and Emily's tutoring jobs have washed up. So after months of being unemployed their saving have finally dried up and their in an extremely **** situation.

As they explained their woes to you, you got hit by an inspiration. You had decent savings in your account from your office job. So knowing youd need help to grow your farming business you offer to hire Markus as a farm hand and Emily as your house keeper.

Though Markus seem like his pride was going to have him reject the offer but emily jumped in and accepted for the both of them. He could only agree dumbly as you left before he could change his mind.
