Ruining Rachel

I hit the trance button and Rachel's already frozen eyes seemed to glaze over. I could tell she was in a trance. I stepped back and restarted time.

Rachel shuffled some papers into a briefcase then stopped. She looked up at me and licked her lips. She looked at me as if seeing me for the first time. She looked at her watch.
