Route One it is!

It seems that Laurens excitement about your Pokemon journey is pretty contagious and with a smile you follow her towards the only road leading out of Pallet Town. "I guess there really is no time like the present." You tell her with a grin.

"So do you know where you want to go?" Lauren asks you as she links her arm through your almost dragging you along with her.

"Um.... I'm not certain." You confess. "I was planning on working that out once I'd picked up my Pokemon. I suppose I need to win some gym badges first."

"And you'll need to register for the Pokemon league." Lauren tells you. "We should head to Viridian City first. You can register at the Pokemon centre there, and there's a gym you can challenge too!"

"Alright, awesome!" You tell her, suddenly rather glad to have a guide on your journey. Beat the gym and join the league."

"I've heard the Viridian city gym is pretty tough though Red." Lauren tells you. "You might need to get some training in first."

"Training?" You ask in surprise, "I can't just go straight for it?"

"Well, you can if you want, but it won't be easy."
