"Don't leave us hanging, tell us!" Rose insisted.

"You mean, 'leave me hanging'" you told her.

"You choose me?" Rose asked.

"Oh yes. You and I go first" you said. Rose smiled and nodded. The others let out disappointed "Awww"s until Dawn reminded them that you would get to all of them in due time. They accepted this and got to teasing Rose, who teased right back.

"If you keep this up I'm going to hog John all for myself" she said.

"We agreed on him dating every one of us first" Aria said, outraged.

"Now I'm definitely going to hug him" Rose replied with an evil smile. You looked at her and nodded.

"Want to go on that date now?" you asked.

"Oh, hell yes" she said, getting up. You followed her out of the building and ended up leaving your car behind. Rose had hitched a ride with one of the other girls, so there would be no car waiting for its owner to retrieve it. Good thing too, as you saw she was, while not wasted, pretty buzzed.

"Can I ask you something?" Rose wanted to know as you walked down the street together.

"Of course" you said, seeing no harm in it.

"Are you single?" she asked.

"That...is a tough question" you told her.

"That girl, Alison, right?" she asked.

"Yeah. Her. What about her?" you wanted to know.

"Is she out of the picture or what?" Rose asked.

"Wow, you're blunt" you said with a laugh.

"I don't like beating 'round the bush" Rose said with a shrug.

"If you must know, yeah, she is out of the picture" you told the young woman.

"So if we were to get on well, there'd be some chance I could become your girlfriend?" Rose asked.

"Never say never" you said with a smile. "You're cute, pretty smart, and athletic. I like girls like that."

"Oh?" Rose asked, her cheeks starting to redden a little.

"Yeah. I'm just being as honest with you as you were with me" you said with a smile.

"I like the way this is starting out" Rose said as she indicated a pub. "How about here?" she asked.
