Rooftop Ballet
The duo headed over the rooftops, their finely-tuned senses keeping an eye out for any signs of illegal activity. Moving like shadows, as they approached the Rainey Street subway station, Kwan spotted an elderly gentleman being accosted by three thugs.
"Check it, Bouncer. You wanna deal with them, or should I?"
"I got this one, Kwan." Landing silently in the shadows, the Bouncer waited for a few seconds.
Just as the punks began to go from verbal to physical abuse, they were distracted by a voice that echoed through the empty station.
"You have a choice, boys. You can crawl on your hands and knees, begging for forgiveness for your nasty attitudes. That's Option A. Option B . . . " The Bouncer stepped out of the shadows, her fighting sticks already drawn.
"Get injured." The sight of the weapons sent the boys running panicked. A smirk crossed the Bouncer's lips as she threw one of her sticks, tripping up one of the troublemakers. Zip tying him to a nearby bench, the Bouncer turned to the older victim.
"You've got a phone, right?" The man nodded. "Call the cops, let 'em know what happened. See you later."
Collecting her stick and strolling out, she nearly bumped into Kwan, who'd been watching near the entrance.
"Impressive moves. Escrima or kali sticks?"
"Kali. C'mon, let's go."
