Rionosis

"Looks like Julia wanted a little vacation time..."

Rionosis was an extraordinary planet, somehow capable of sustaining life despite one rather unusual, crucial feature; it hurtled through the void of space at incredible speeds, rotating around it's system's Sun incredibly fast, though at a safe distance. As a result, it completed each solar rotation within an average human's waking cycle.

In short, "New Year" came every 24 hours, and the people on the planet were more than happy to have an excuse to party. Wild celebrations, parades in the street featuring outlandish floats, beach sports and activities, lots of alcohol, and outfits skimpy enough to be considered contraband on more restrictive planets. The Vintagliani Family had only recently set their sites on the place, so they only just started worming their way into agreements with local politicians. Julia had likely been sent down to handle the clandestine negotiations- in between a little personal time sampling the celebrations, of course.

Shannon would have to be quick but stealthy to get to Julia unnoticed before she managed to slip a few laws into the planet's charter to give them diplomatic immunity or some other nonsense. It'd be tough, but if she succeeded it would be the first big strike the Police had made on the Vintaglianis in decades.

After a rough (very fast, very VERY carefully calculated) landing, Julia stepped off her shuttle, eager and impatient to get on with her mission....
