Reveal the truth to Remus

You peel yourself away from the mass of lovers in your bed, bath, dress and go in search of Remus. All of your champions have been set up in the guest rooms of the castle. You walk down the corridors until you find the room you are looking for.

Knock, Knock Knock!

"Come in" you hear a voice from inside that you recognized to be Remus. He has long white hair, not from age but from his father's wolf side. He is average height and build with green eyes and pale skin. He is slightly older than you at the age of 20. He is sitting on the floor polishing his armour. Being the nephew of a countess he has good quality plate armour. His father being not only a commoner but also a beastfolk he was not allowed to wear the Loon family crest. However, with the news Akina gave you that might change. It would also change if he placed well in the tournament and receive his own lordship gaining his own family name, crest and land.

"My king!" Remus exclaimed in surprise. "My, My apologies for my untidiness I was just preparing for the tournament." he whips his greasy fingers on his loose fitting and plain overalls. "What can I do for you, Your Majesty?" he asks.

"Just sit back down and listen I have some grave news for you and a request." You say taking the chair at his desk. Remus looks shocked and sits down on the floor, moving his armour aside. You continue "My spies bring me news from Luxem. All of your family except Marissa and your farther, Including your mother, are dead." You pause to let this sink in

"Oh, God." Remus whimpers, his face becomes more pale almost white. He looks down for a sec and when he looks up there are tears in his eyes. "What happened?"

"When I visited Luxem before my wedding I found that Countess Marissa was being impersonated by a demon, holding here captive. I was able to free the Countess and kill the demon. However, after my wedding, my spies found out that the demon disguised as the Countess had summoned and killed all members of her family except you and your father who were already on your way to attend my wedding. On top of that, the Demon weakened the Countess's husband that lead to his **** shortly after I killed the demon." You explained.

"So, so it, it is just us then?" murmured Remus his voice wavering.

"Not quite." You reply "Now what I am about to tell you is both private and a secret and should not be spoken of without my consent. However, giving the current situation I may make it public soon. While I was in Luxem after slaying the demon I was met in the bed chamber by The Countess. With her husband still alive at the time and my wife waiting for me at the alter she seduced me into making love fully. This one night has resulted in Marissa becoming pregnant with what is now her only child still living. However, despite this, and the fact Marissa is still young and could remarry and produce legitimate heirs, there is a call among some of your people, who have lost faith in Marissa's leadership, to place you on the throne despite you commoner status. As of this moment, you are Luxem's only legitimate heir. Given all this information I need you to choose you nest step. I would allow you to concede your place in the tournament to Lance giving him a default win in the first round. This would allow you to travel back to Luxum to support your family and maybe take over basically winning the land and title you joined my quest to claim. If you took this route I would disown the child of Marissa and me to leave the throne of Luxem open for you. or for Marissa to fill with a new heir. Alternatively, you could stay here participate in the tournament, win if you can. Should you lose but survive I it would have the same effect as if you left before the tournament however with your less than honourable status you are less likely to be chosen as the Heir of Luxem. If you win or place high enough to receive land and a title then I will legitimize my child, releasing you of your claim to Luxem. This would also happen if you were to die which although the rules will state to leave your opponent alive I cannot assume that all the Dragon-kin will be so honourable." You conclude.

All this time Remus had been looking up at you crying and sniveling but trying his best to recover. You wonder how this news will effect his fighting ability should he choose to fight. He does, however, look a bit cute on the ground there eyes puffy with tears. He could use cheering up if you feel like swinging that way.
