"No, I wouldn't want to do that to Caoimhe," you say.

"Ah, don't go and get a girl all hot and bothered before putting her down," Beth says with a frown. "Fine, probably for the best. Anyhow, you're free to head back to class, we won't need you today."

"You're not kicking me out, are you? You're not annoyed?" you ask.

"Annoyed, a little," she admits. "But, whatever, I'm a big girl, I'll get over it."

You decide to be polite and refrain from making the obvious insult.

"But I'm definitely not kicking you out. You can stay here, but with the delays, no acting is being done today," she says. "Sorry. Don't let this sour your experience, these are usually way more fun."

"I'm sure," you nod.

"You'll come back to the next practice, right?"

"Yeah, of course," you say.
