"John! What are you doing here?" Rebecca asked.

I frowned. Obviously, she did not expect me to be here. "Your mom invited me to spend a few days here. Didn't she tell you?"

She shook her head. "No, but then again, I haven't had the chance to talk to her for a couple of days. I don't know why she's invited you, but I'm glad you're here."

As she walked closer, I noticed the ring on her hand. "Congratulations on your wedding! Is your husband going to be here?"
