Chapter 6 by FornicationStation FornicationStation

How's Monica?

Ready to discuss a plan

To my surprise, Monica stepped out of the hallway before we entered her room. She was wearing thick cloth sweatpants, and a jacket over a white cami. Her long hair was tied up in a towel on her head, which I'm sure wasn't doing her any favors. She was shivering, and the small top of her nipples poking through her top said that she wasn't wearing a bra.

More importantly, she had two of her spare towels in her hands, and she gave them to me and Juliet. "Here you guys go. Sorry about my outburst earlier."

"It's okay," I assured her, taking the towel and drying off what I could.

Juliet followed suit and nodded. "Yeah, no prob. Thanks for the towels.

"Let's go to my room," Monica said and too tired to disagree, Juliet and I followed behind her. Monica's room was pretty messy, with her recently discarded clothes and towels strewn on the floor by the window. She turned on her phone's flashlight and shone it on a nightstand to dimly illuminate the room. "Sorry," Monica murmured, "I didn't expect any of this."

I sat down on her bed. "Yeah, no kidding. I nearly froze my tits off out there."

Juliet nodded. "We need to figure out what to do now though. It's only going to get colder." She said that evenly, without even a hint of dread, as if she was just describing the weather."

"Maybe we should get out of here," Monica suggested. "Find someplace with heat to spend the night?"

I shook my head. "In this weather? You want to go out there?"

"It's a very wet snow," Juliet added. "I guarantee the roads weren't ready for this. We aren't getting any of the cars out of here, and I don't think anyone can come get us either."

Monica tried again. "Okay what about another building nearby? There's a bunch of apartments, maybe someone will let us crash for the night?"

Juliet had something to say again. "I looked around after we put the door back. All the nearby blocks are out too. Looks like we're on the same grid."

We were all silent for a while, before I muttered, "Well fuck."

Monica took a deep breath. "Well we just got to get through tonight, right? How hard can that be?"

As if God was punishing us for our hubris, another strong wind struck the building. The couch block held, but just barely. But we could all feel the sudden entrance of cold air. Monica slammed her bedroom door shut and we all retreated further in.

I clapped my hands together. "Okay well I guess we all just pile on the blankets and pray that hypothermia doesn't set in? I have a few extra if you need them."

I saw a disapproving look in Juliet's eyes. I groaned, "Oh for God's sake, Juliet, what is it this time?"

Juliet had a nervous smile on her face. "Actually, this time I think I have a solution."

What's Juliet's idea?
