“Please what?” I asked, sensing how close Raven was to giving in to both me and her secret longings.

“Please… I want… I need…” I listened to Raven whimper, her eyes still downcast.

“Yes my little Raven? Tell me what you want. Tell me what you need.”

“I want you… your offer.”

“And you’re willing to do as I ask in exchange?” I knew she would agree, but I needed her to admit it.

I smiled with glee as I watched Raven meekly nod in agreement.

“Take my hand little Raven,” I said with satisfaction as I extended my hand down to her, “You’ve had a very long day and it’s time you and I retire to my chambers. It may take me an eternity to teach someone as damaged as you about love but don’t worry, the journey will be worth it for both of us.”
